Re: How many games did you watch?
yeah, punched the 70% chad.
Interesting story, I was fresh outta college when i decided to watch a single sprots team for the entire season. i picked the ravens ( i live in balto) and they ended up beating the giants in the superbowl to become champions. NOt bad i thought.
I decided to pick the maryland terps (basketball) the following season and watched every game, even predicted the brackets correct all the way to the end (without ever betting a penny, damn shame) and on the shoulders of blake, wilcox, mouton, dixon and (insert player name here) win the championship there. NICE, run i thought at the time.
it was only natural to follow dixons (even though he got snubbed for mvp) and blakes progress in the NBA with the wizards. I figured they were a shoe in to win it all,............alas..........i am still waiting, watching 90% percent of all the games televised here in balto which is about 80% of the games.
have bought some 3 game packs (3 in total) got some tix from bulletproof and some guys here on the forum, however none last season. hopefully i'll be up at the booth again next season.
viva las weez!!

Re: How many games did you watch?
Dang, I'm surprised how few games many of you all have watched.
I do have a lie but I've probably watched >90% of their games, at least
the televised ones, for 25 years. I've been a plan holder for 3. Next
season will be my first as a full season plan holder, but I don't expect
to go to every game.
I guess I'm a glutton for punishment.
Thank you sir, may I have another!

Re: How many games did you watch?
Like everyone else, this past season brought my average down (though not by much). I'm typically like Dat - watching darn near all 82 games. So I'll say that I'm still in the 90% range for the whole of the last 5 years.
I used to not have cable and could only watch the dozen or so games that were on channel 50 or 20 back in the day. But when MJ came back, I splurged and watched every single game both years of his comeback. I missed a few during EJ's first season while Gil was out and I missed a few last year. But other than that, the only games I might not watch are the West Coast games against the really bad teams.
I will typically go to anywhere from 1-5 games per season and I've been to a grand total of one playoff game. This year I want to get that up to around 20 regular season games and go to every playoff game. Go Wiz!

Re: How many games did you watch?
Been a Bullets/Wizards fan since '77. I didn't watch nearly as much this year as I do most years recently. Outside of last year, in the past 5-6 years I've been watching about 70% of the games - this past year, both with the Wizards play and in not doing fantasy basketball, I think it was closer to 10-20%.

Re: How many games did you watch?
I watch them on the internet so I can't Tivo them. As a result, I usually miss much of the first half as I'm going through the ordeal of putting my three kids to bed. I watched probably 75% of the second-halves this year. The 25% I missed was mostly due to being unable to find a good internet game feed.

You from here originally? Or Dutch by birth or what? (And if so, how did you contract the affliction of wizfandom?).
I visited Amsterdam for two weeks once while I was in a performance. Fell in love with a dancer, drank a mess of Der Koenig , learned to flip a stack of bar coasters, caught a 4 hour George Clinton Pfunk concert, learned a little Dutch (mostly body parts). And violated an american law or two -- 'when in Rome'...
Nice city. Really decent people.

Re: How many games did you watch?
I'm going to say 90% as the best approximation. Until last year, I watched at least part of, and usually just about all of, 78-80 games a year (not getting News Channel 8 being the main thing stopping me from watching all 82). This past season I still probably watched part of most games, but I did A LOT of fast-forwarding (DVR). As a general rule, I try to see one game per season at the phone booth, but skipped last season as futile, and missed the previous one for other reasons. I'll try to make three this season to catch up.

I'm originally from Saint Martin, which is an island in the Netherlands Antilles (Caribbean)... Came down here with my Grandma, live here for 20 years now... So yeah, Im pretty much as Dutch as you can get, except for the color...
Becoming a Wizfan was kinda strange... I always loved the NBA Street series, but never played with the real NBA teams... When I played NBA Street Homecourt, I was looking for a guy who's "steal" stat was the best for my team... Gil and Artest were the best stealers in that game IIRC, and after playing with both, found out that Gil was the better shooter, checked him up on the Interwebz, saw he was an amazing bbal player (28.4 ppg that season) on the Wizards team with Butler (who my fiancee loves) and started following them...
This will (hopefully) be my first full season of Agent Zero... Can't wait!!!
Amsterdam is indeed a cool city, but I don't be there often as I live in Rotterdam... Its about a 45min drive... Looks like your enjoying yourself a whole lot when you're there lol....

Re: How many games did you watch?
85% or so? This past season brought the average down quite a bit. I watched like 2 games this past season.
I remember being in the chat for almost every game. There were always a group of like 10 of us, more if it was a home game. Ben would talk about how much he loves Harry Potter, great fun. Half the time we wouldn't even talk about the game.

Don't worry Rafey, I'll pray for you. The truth will set you free.

On the question, it was close to 90%, even last season I turned in so that we would lose and get Blake Griffin. I guess you all know how that turned out.

Re: How many games did you watch?
Pre 08-09 season? I'd say about 90%, if not a bit higher. The only way I'd miss a game, pre 08-09 would be if there was absolutely no television where I was currently at or if the game wasn't being broadcast in my area (since I live in Baltimore rather than D.C, I don't get some stations sometimes....sort of odd).
As others have said, the 08-09 season was far lower - probably about 70% of the games, and I definitely wasn't nearly as attentive a viewer as opposed to prior seasons.
I'd like to attend more games (I probably go to about 3 or 4 per year, not counting this season) but the drive plus the ridiculous prices keep me in my current range.

Nate, where do you find games on the net, I know about the league pass but I see fans posting links all the time for sites I've never head of.
