Re: LOVE
I can see him selling 10k+ bottles of the Myracle Kevin Love Glass Cleaner
on a serious note: considering Al Jefferson will probably out until ASG and he won't get 30+ minutes until probably March/April Love will have to play probably 35 mins. now if Love makes his promises come true to work out a lot this offseason I can see him averaging 15/10 on good but not great percentages until Big Al comes back

Re: LOVE
I don't think Al will be out for long at all. Still Love will average a double next year. Some where in the 14/11 range which is pretty good.
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.

Re: LOVE
Last I heard Al seemed pretty confident in getting back early on in the season, but that could just be a case of him being overly hopeful.
I think/hope he'll be around 14/11 mark as well.

He'll be 15/11 until he busts his knee and misses the rest of the season.

Foye’s focus this offseason will include the obvious work on shooting, ball handling and working the pick-and-roll.
One thing that he plans on doing more of, though, is something he used to do back in Villanova – studying.
“This year one of the main things I’m going to try to do is watch more film,” Foye said. “I think that if you watch film and see where you’re supposed to go and the things you’re supposed to do.”

Re: LOVE
Hopefully it's Coach Carter and The Sixth Man. I'd say Hoosiers, but that's small town America in the 1950s.

I hope so. He has the physical tools to be a very good point guard. Honestly, he does not lack any of the tools. But his BBIQ in the playmaker situation does not exist. he is the michael vick of PG. There were times last year he just looked lost on simple pick and roll situations. One time he had a high left side pick/roll with Gomes and he came off the pick well, turned left took 3 hard steps and then pick the ball up. PICKED IT UP!!! the play died. I coach 7th grade and this fundamental is simple. He should have either a.) drove hard and forced contact, b.) took the shot c.) passed to Gomes d.) pass to the dump off spoting up. NOT "pick the damn ball up and stand waiting for something to happen" he is the bloody thing that is supposed to happen.
cant blame the kid too much. Wittman just hooted at him, and Mchale only coaches post players. But if he learns the pg spot he will be very good.

Re: LOVE
Rev, I love the pick and roll at the middle school level. To quote Dickie V from NCAA Basketball 2007, EVERYONE RUNS IT BUT NO ONE KNOWS HOW TO DEFEND IT BABY! or some crap like that.

Re: LOVE
Love will be solid all depends on his minutes but I do see him as a low double double players. Maybe a 18-11 type without Big AL and a 13-9 guy will Big Al around.
As for FOye learning to try to play the point, that ship has sailed. Foye is an never will be a pg. He lacks very fundamental skills to be in the point guard spot. Sadly at best Foye is 7th or 8th man on a legit team.

Re: LOVE
My "if" was in response to someone else suggesting Foye is learning pg traits. Personally, i love Foye in the attack-pg spot, but that only works with a ball-dominate sg/sf that can be your playmaker.
j2j, I love the p/r. I killed at it in high school and college, so I really push it on the kids I coach.
