Gortat? I wouldn't blow the capspace for Gortat. I think we should have a year that we are not using the MLE on anyone. And knowing that Gortat might get offers over the MLE, I would be critical about it if we manage to sign him over the MLE range.

I'd consider it, but the only thing I'd wonder is how long are those players contracts. I don't see any of them having a future with the kings. Stevenson and Hayward maybe as backups...dunno
Sometimes you just have to look yourself in the mirror and say....Tyreke Evans.
That just happened.

I would rebuild the team to mimic the early 2000's roster.

Bibby -------Jonny Flynn
Christie -----K-Mart (they look alike...sorta)
Peja/Turk ---Gallinari
C-Webb------JT
Vlade--------Hawes

Turk----------Nocioni
Jackson-------Jackson ;)

God I miss that team :( to the point where I would make a post like this. I feel like one of those nuts that preserves their loved ones DNA to clone them.

Some of youre roles are wrong. Peja is the same role as Martin firepower. Bibby and the new PG they take are the finishers. Christie is really Noc a tough guy to balance the offense. Then the bigs. Donte is like Hedo actually can shoot the 3 or drive off the bench. Jackson is done and Garcia will probably take his role as bench scorer.

Petrie is following the recipe so no one in but maybe Noc, Beno or Thomas are getting traded the rest is the core.

Gortat is a tough sob, if we need an enforcer he would be a good one. I don't know if Petrie will get one but they will not pay a ton for any bench guy. If he needs a defensive bench guy he will keep Simmons he is a (Mikki Moore type bench guy) 10/10/2blk guy if he gets the minutes as an energy guy. If he thinks they need a scorer off the bench they may re sign Diogu.

I think that's a lot closer to skill-set , but honestly, that's a HOMELESS man's version of that roster.
