Re: D.Lee or Millsap?
Milsap. No question.
I am not a fan of Lee at all. Massively over-rated IMO. He'll get a big payday this off season, and that will be the last we hear from him. (Just my opinion of course.)
Milsap, is good. Tough, he competes, he is more of a banger, I really like him. Do I want OKC to pay to get him? - No, we have power Forwards. We don't need him.
Collison, Green, Dj White, (possibly) Ibaka, hell even Krystic is more of a 4 IMO.

I disagree. None of those players are more of a 4 than Millsap. If anything Collison is the only one out of the 5 you named that have PF game. Lets try our best to separate potential to established players. Imo Millsap is probably the only young PF out there that OKC has a chance of landing. Cuz when u look at the grand scheme of things snagging Millsap this off season is hell of a signing. Check out this list of top 10 PFs that are 24 years or younger in the league.

You may include Tyrus and Blake in that list. Point being is that Millsap is available this offseason
and believing in Ibaka, White or even Green to be our PF just doesn't seem right to pass up on Millsap.

It does when we have area's of greater need. Why go out and spend on Milsap when we still have no interior defenders, no consistent outside threats, and no shot blocker/s?
I like him as a player, and i think he'll be a pretty decent starter somewhere, but we have other much much larger needs.

On top of this, Milsap is a good player with lots of potential AND the Jazz know this. The money that it would take to get him, and David Lee for that matter, to the Thunder would be counterproductive to building this team. We would be throwing a lot of money at a position that would prevent us from addressing areas of greater need.

Re: D.Lee or Millsap?
D Lee is an excellent player, a double double machine. He is a glass eater and he's more active, he can hit a mid range jumper, he's a lefty I believe and he's a bigger defensive player than Milsap. Milsap is undersized, isn't a defensive player, and doesn't have near the offensive game as D Lee.
I think Utah is fuc*ed. They have two undersized PF's who's contracts are up that aren't defensive presences. I wouldn't want either. Boozer is always injured and always wants a bigger contract.

No David Lee, thanks. His defense sucks.

No David Lee. David Lee is a poor passer and a very weak defender. Plus is hustle will be leaving him as the years pile on. Let someone else overpay this guy.
from ny, never been a fan of the knicks...

Re: D.Lee or Millsap?
i'd take either of them as starting power forward over jeff green by a long shot. i think people are underrating david lee in this comparison. lee and millsap are roughly the same size, i think lee is a much more savvy player than millsap though. he seems to know where to be and he's and he has some of the best hands in the league, which is what makes him such a good rebounder.
both players were in systems the past year that really accentuated their strengths. both players aren't top defenders at their positions, but they're both way, way better than jeff green defensively (at least inside).
personally, i see david lee getting a little better offensively. he hits his free throws and with all the time he spends near the basket he's only going to get fouled more and more. neither player is ever going to be a great back to the basket type of guy.. i think i'd take david lee. you look at what millsap does best (rebounding, lunch pail offense, hustle), i think david lee just does it better.

i don't get this? what about millsap is tougher and more of a banger than david lee? lee's one of the best rebounders in the nba, definitely better than millsap. what is "he competes"? lee's known for his hustle just like a lot of florida guys.
lee's improved every year and is entering his prime (26), what makes you think nobody will hear from him again?

Re: D.Lee or Millsap?
Millsap is shorter than Green. He has a PF game, ie put backs, midrange jumper, some post moves, but defensively gets killed when teams go big at the 4 (Duncan at 6'11, Aldridge 6'11, Jefferson 6'10, Gasol 7'0, Amare 6'10, Dirk 6'11 etc). He's got talent and heart but will have to be subbed out situationally if he starts getting worked.

Don't we already have enough guys who are 6'9-6'10? How about we get a legit 7 footer or at least a bigger guy to play defense.

I've got Bynum out here at 7'1/280, 21 yo, for #3. ???????
You don't need Thabeet who is older, with less NBA experience, and with much less offense, that's for sure.

Re: D.Lee or Millsap?
I'm a long time Knick fan so I can give you the real scoop on Lee...
Lee is a great finisher, passer, pick and roll guy. He is really maturing to be one of those guys you trust in important minutes. However, he needs to work on his defense badly. I am pretty sure his bad defense can be accounted on our bad coaches(pre-Dantoni) and bad all around defensive team. Lee is a work horse if Presti says he wants Lee to work on his d this summer he will do it. He is a decent leader off the court but not vocal enough.
To the guy that said Lee was a bad passer, that is completely untrue he is one of the best big passers/ dribblers in the NBA.
Unfortunately if OKC wants Lee, you are going to need a C that can step out and hit the 15 - 17 fter. (Like Memo or McDyess). All in all if you could get Lee you do it, he is really good. The only reason Knicks don't want Lee is because we are dumb enough to think LeBron is coming in 2010 >_>.
As for Lee vs. Millsap
In general I'd say Millsap, but to fit in OkC I'd say Lee will fit better. Imagine pick n rolls between Lee and Westbrook/ Durant.... Nasty.

I think D. Lee is a better fit. You guys have enough scoring.
