Let me try to save this thread.

NJN is reportedly working out players lower than #11 in the draft, and there are rumors of a trade down. What would you think of this?

MIN GETS: #11 + Josh Boone

NJN GETS: #18 + #28 + Craig Smith

Think I would have to do that Shrink but it is a gut retching call. We move up 7 spots, but the deciding factor is who would be targetted there. I admit to not being as familiar with the late lotto having focused on late teens twenties and early lotto. Any ideas from anyone on who MN would look to target?

Value seems there and converts a good, but less usable piece in Smith for a good and more usable piece in Boone.


Edit: If it wasn't for the Boone acquisition I wouldn't be for it at all since I am liking a number of the later round prospects (Casspi, Daye, Mullens, one of th ePG's), but again, if there was someone we really liked at #18, slipping or projected, the value is there.

#11 seems to be in that ugly no man's land of prospects that we're not too interested in. Maybe Earl Clark. Most everyone else we'd be interested in are reaches or a prayer that they drop. Although Boone's size is nice. We save 300k going from Smith to Boone, how's the difference in salary for the picks?
