Not sure if you did all this by yourself but if you did very nice job, posts like that take a long time. Good reference point for all of us too when talking about moving Booze.

Thanks, I got all the salary info from shamsports.com, but the rest is from reading around and seeing what teams could use a guy like Boozer. It's not perfect, but I think it could be useful for someone.

Well I think you got the teams right that are potential partners, though I wouldn't be surprised to see a team like Indiana jump into the mix seeing that they have a lot of middle sized contracts that could be added together to match a potential Boozer contract.

Wow, that had to take some time! Awesome job.

Clippers and Bulls could also be added I would think, and maybe New Orleans?? I would love to see Camby or Chandler just for defensive reasons mainly

Clippers will have Blake Griffin and Zach Randolph so they are set about power forward, but you are spot on about Chicago, and I will add the Pacers too just for kicks. New Orleans needs to shed salary and so do we, plus they have David West.

If we traded for Bosh, would he sign an extension here?

I'd say Joe Johnson is pretty untouchable.. If he wasn't, my God that would be nice.

It doesn't matter really... we get rid of Boozer, bring on a first tier player... then we just wait and see what happens...

cant say i agree with all you "likely scenarios". Some the trade also dont make sense of the Jazz so Im not sure why you'd post them if the jazz wouldn't accept said players.

Jesus, give the kid a break.

Great post dude.

Bosh is my ideal situation even if it is for one year, because we'll have a grip of cash a high draft pick and a stud PG to recruit some FA's.

Well, he is expiring so they would be risking losing him, and he is going to be on the wrong side of 30 pretty soon. It might take more to get Johnson but I could see it happening pretty easily.

Maybe some of them aren't likely--but whatever, I tried. The main thing was to show what we 'could' get (within reason) for Boozer not necessarily say what we 'will' get.

If we could trade Boozer for Bosh I would be stoked.

I also like the Boozer for Hinrich and Thomas.

Excuse my lack of knowledge, but when can negotiations officially begin? For both restricted and unrestricted FAs?

Free agents become FA on Jul 1. Negotiations may commence at this time; however, players may sign new contracts on Jul 8 @ midnight. Agreements can be reached and agreed to during the moratorium , but the official signing is after Jul 7.
