that'd be the greatest identity theft ever

"wait, thats not BJ Mullens at all..... LUC LONGLEY!?!?!"

and Luc would start cackling and throw down the smokescreen and when the smoke dissipates he's gone

If the Crocodile Dundee trilogy taught us anything, it's that aussies are crazy.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

I'd be kind of pissed though if Mullens was a 46% shooter

hes a aussie big ,they usually dont turn out to well ,just look at some of them
Luc Longley - ok
Andrew Bogut - major dissapointment
Chris Anisty - played a few years was ok
Mark Bradtke - played a few years
that dude from the bulls - crappy
Ben Pepper - dont even think he made it
Nathan Jawai - hopefully will be better this year
most of these guys probley no one even heard of :P

is Aron Baynes declaring for the draft anyone know ?

He's way bigger than those guys though other than Luc, and I'm just saying like 25-40 range or so, not lotto pick or anything, but Jon G feels he might not even be drafted, I didn't know people were that low on him.

nba draft had him in there top 60 for a long time its only since march there taken him out
draft express have never had him in there i dont think
i do agree he should be taken between 40-55 pick at least

though theres still a few weeks so i guess things could change and we dont know what the gm's are thinking in the 2nd round

btw can anyone give me a reason why Mills is a 2nd rounder in a weak draft :-?

I think you were overvaluing the fact that Longley played on a championship team, hence the analogy between a so-so player with several rings and a great player with none. Longley wouldn't have started on many teams, the bulls were a special case that didn't need talent at center. And if the wolves took BJ Mullens at 18 this year and he turned out to be Luc Longley, he'd be a bust.

I don't think so. I shouldn't have mentioned the championship thing but Longley was 20 minute per game player for 10 years and 3 different teams. OK, we just value non-lottery picks differently. I still disagree about Longley, but there's a possibility that my opinion is affected by my deep suspicion of Australians that I got from watching Quigley Down Under.

Look at his numbers

so players cant get better ???

stats also dont tell the whole story ,most of these other pg's have stars around them to help them out ,Mills have a bunch of aussies and a few guys who arent even rated
Mills proved what he can do at the olympics ,kobe and lebron even said he looked great
im not saying the guy is a lottery pick but no way is he a 2nd rounder either

Australia played 6-7 games in the Olympics, it's not a great sample size and it's a different style of play. Also we can't compare what Mills did in the Olympics to what other prospects did in the Olympics.
Looking at the stats, he didn't shoot well, he didn't get to the free throw line, his PG stats were mediocre. He's also small and played at a small school. I don't think I'd pick him before 25. I think he's right on the 1st round/2nd round border.

he had 12-13 from the line just the other day at eurocamp ,its not that he doesnt get to the line its that he doesnt get fouled much cause hes so quick

also you gotta remember that Mills doesnt play the whole game at pg ,hes lucky to play half there
mainly cause mills is there main go to guy on offense and st mary's dont have a great 2 guard

but oh well some of the 20-30 range teams loss

1 day at Eurocamp is pretty small sample size. If he's so quick that he's not getting fouled, he should be quick enough that he's getting easy layups and shooting better than 40% from the field.
Anyway, I've never seen him play so don't listen to me.

Mills was 90/190 from inside the 3 point line
hes 3 point % dragged hes % down a lot

also the box score of hes games show he got to the line quite a bit 85 from 99 ://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/player/profile?playerId=37525

if he can do it more often instead of using that 3 point shot he could be dangerous

Luke Nevill at 47 is a steal. I think he will be a guy who can do some things. he has a huge body with long arms and a nice touch he used his body much better this year to block shots and really was consistent all year. This is not an all world type player but a guy who can come in off the bench with a big body make a few shots gives some defensive presence give some fouls set some picks etc.. a Good solid role player at the back end of the rotation who has the chance to get better over his career because of his touch. At 7-1 260 hes a steal way back there.
