Sofa you heard that as well. What kind of statement is that, my wife basically made the decision.

I was just watching the Mike and Mike replay on ESPN2 and Chris Broussard said when asked by Mike Green would PJ retire if the Lakers win it all this season Broussard said he thought that was very likely. That made me think why would Rambis decline the KIngs coaching job after being an assistant for the past 10 yrs and also being interviewed for a bunch of jobs over past few yrs I know the Kings job is tough but its a job, you wonder does Rambis already know Phil 's gonna hang it up so he declined that job to take over for Phil or at least be in the running for it.

I'd rather have Brian Shaw coach the team with Rambis running the triangle spacing, etc.. Every couple weeks or so Phil may still work as a consultant for them. The Dolphins, my NFL team are doing a similar thing with Sparano and Parcells. It works well as the younger coach often has plenty of energy and can pick up the vast amount of knowledge the other guy has.

Say that Fisher (new assistant) and Phil retire, the Lakers will be able to easily re-sign their free agents and perhaps they'll look into adding another top veteran with the 20m they save all in all including the tax and new payments to coaches. Maybe they'll trade Sasha or Morrison for a team interested in 2010.

The Warriors with Stephen Jackson could be interested. Possibly the Hornets with Posey. Those downright huge additions could make us talented enough to withstand any letdown in talent.
