According to a league source, though, Fesenko's exit interview with the Jazz did not go well. He apparently was asked by general manager Kevin O'Connor and Jerry Sloan to explain some of the updates on his Facebook page.

I think much of the stuff is exaggerated. You can just say that LA is nice place to be on your facebook and you have a lot of places to go. I was in Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, London, Moscow, Paris. And I can write a lot of good responses about this bunch. Will I consider SLC great place to leave? With out of doubt.

The one thing everybody has to realize is that Fesenko is just a youngster barely removed from his native Ukraine. You cannot, never ever, forget the human side of this issues. Hes long ways from home and family, he's alone there, he's some bucks in his pocket, and he's in fuc.... LA!!! D'you really think dude's going to see it differently??? Do you prefer he'd have just went out there as long as he didn't wrote LA is a darn good place to get some fun???
In my eyes this guy will be able to play more than well enough if someone allows him to be who he is and just give him minutes.
I hope we stick with him as planned at first.... I'd rather lose games with him and Koufos than lose them with a millionaire yet inadequate frontcourt...

When Fesenko is given a chance to play, he's nearly as good as Ostertag IMO. Sure he's a little raw, but if they would just let him get confidence, guy is a legit NBA rotation big.

Good riddance! Right after the Jazz got eliminated from the playoffs Fes was just partying and having a great time at Lumpy's! I don't care that hes a backup that hardly plays, but a guy wholl just go out and party the night away right after being eliminated from the playoffs isnt the type of player i want on my team!

Exactly, if your young have some money and in a big city like LA, of course your going to be excited. I hope this isn't the only reason that Fes's exit interview went bad, because thats not a very good reason to be upset with him.

Part of the knock on him is that he doesn't work hard enough on his game though he has fantastic skills and potential. He has been here a couple years and still hasn't pushed his way into the rotation--even sitting behind Koufos (a 19 year old rookie) in the rotation.

Sorry kid--your employer wants to know if you are worth the $$$ and the roster spot you are taking up. If he is more interested in playing and partying than winning basketball games and improving himself then I don't think there is too much to lose in both parties moving on. I don't care how young he is--if he doesn't look engaged and interested in improving then why bother.

He's well enough to put a double-double on the Rockets... and he bothered the Lakers a little too some time ago when he was allowed to play... and he did it with like zero playing experience....
Really... I'd keep him...

He probably shouldn't be partying@LA... the same way some other(s) player(s) shoudn't have had vacation plans in place the other season BEFORE being eliminated... you know.... $hit happens... all of them are just young people with well mounted pockets... why on earth should the Jazz be so darn punitive with just a youngster? It's not like he's Kirk Snyder!!!

I don't think they should dump him but I think the problem is more him than the Jazz organization.

The night before Fesenko's career game vs the Rockets, Koufos dropped 18 and 8 against the Mavs. And in the final analysis both finished with roughly similar season averages. Neither showed consistency or clear separation. Granted this was while Memo was out and he deservedly-so gets the starter minutes. But I'd love to see one or the other step up. I expected it to be Fes since he has been around a year longer.

He's big and he's cheap, so he'll be back, at minimum just to fill a roster spot. If the Jazz have a problem with him going to clubs, then they are completely out of touch with the NBA culture.

Jazz just saved themself a view dollars in my opinion. As raw as Fes is he is still good enough and well worth the cheap dollars he can only demand in this unstable economy. He is a hard to find big for a very cheap dollar.... he is stayin no question about it. His extention money is now going to Milsap and others.

But he might have just lost his long term contract and isn't moving up the bench any to more minutes.

Give the kid a break! Let him learn from his own on court mistakes just like any other player in sports history; not much to ask I think. This kid have ridiculous upside, and is not like he's a bada$$ thug or something.

I, for one, am stoked. Hopefully he turns mean over the summer and we'll finally have someone who's not afraid to put someone on their ass clogging the lane.

Thats the right choice. He costs nothing, he still has decent potential, and if something does happen you can either cut him since he doesn't make anything or trade him as an expiring contract. There is literally no harm in keeping him.
