Washington 5 pick
Washington looking to trade 5 pick . Should the jazz go after the 5 pick with the Knicks unproteted 2010 first rounder . If Boozer opts out then Hill could be target.

Re: Washington 5 pick
I'll pass on Jordan Hill. He's top 15 talent in most drafts, but in this draft that is so weak with bigs he has found his way into a sure fire top 10 spot. If we knew Thabeet would be there then maybe the Jazz could put together a package including next years pick that would be worth it. But for Jordan Hill I'll pass.

I don't think we have the right chips. The biggest chip is a Boozer s&t, and that can't be a draft night deal.

Not for the New York pick, but I would send Boozer out to get the 5 pick, even if it was a 3 way.

Actually we can work an extension out until the day before free agency, so it could still work; plus Washington would have Boozer's bird rights.

I don't believe you can trade an extended player until part way through the next season.

I think Washington wants a SG.

Go to question 51 http://members.cox.net/lmcoon/salarycap.htm#Q51
Boozer was signed to a 6 year deal, so we can extend him 3 years after the contract was signed up until the day before free agency on the last year.

We don't need another undersized PF.

I'd pick Holiday at 5. He's 18 and already has much of the tools and the poise. And he showed it playing in stretches, which is a hard thing to do even for NBA veterans guards...
