That's strange you would bring him up. I was just looking at a youtube vid of him yesterday. I don't think we'll ever see Semih in a Celtics uniform though.

haha, no he looked alright, but I just don't think he'll ever come over. Besides it was hard to get a good look at him. The quality was pretty bad, the camera filming him looked like it was stolen from a Venezuelan pawn shop.

I read somewhere he is under contract for next season and the earliest he could come to the Celtics is 2010/2011. He is a young project.

yep he is under contract for one more year,so yo have to wait
Here is my thoughts on Semih
strengths
**He's really tall and strong and though player
**Good athletism for a big man,
**Long arms and great shotblocking instincts
**A lot of professional basketball experience despite his age. He played in a lot of important competition.Like world champ, eurloeauge,Under 17 comp etch

Weakness
**His basketball iq is subzero
**weak work ethic(that's not just i heard,i've been watching him for past 5 years. He didnt improve in 5 years at all.Maybe his Jumper has improved a little bit,but still not good enough
**He's a bad rebounder despite his size, long arms and athletism(obviously he's bad bc of he is not smart enough, and doesnt have a clue how to get a rebound. That's the biggest reason i believe he should buyout his contract and come to play for C's so at least he can learn from KG something about basketball while KG still in his prime.
**I hate his hair,he's loking like a clown out there

right one

for him Unfortunately, his ballclub has 4 young promising big men.He was playing about 20 mpg this year if i'm not mistaken. With the other 4 young big men(and some veteran bigs ) will be under contract next year,i think he should leave Fenerbahce and join the Celtics asap

Frankly, I think Ainge deliberately selected someone he wouldn't have to offer a contract to. The next best guy from the draft and the other 5,000,000 guys worldwide eligible to be drafted are all unrestricted free agents.

From Silverquicks scouting report, sounds to me like he's a poor mans O'Bryant without the jumper.

Why do people still talk about this guy ...? He won't play in the NBA, ever. Let it go.

I'm from turkey and a huge fan of Fenerbahce, Erden's team. He won't wear green, I can assure y'all. And that's all.

Hope I'm wrong, though.

oh and the player on the left, no. 24, is Asik, whom the Bulls have drafted, and he's gonna be an NBA player for the years to come, unlike Erden.

Danny Ainge doesnt think so,he claimed Erden will be their this year's first round pick
btw i cant see him as a first round pick, but could be possible banger and a big body off the bench
I wish he had as same work etcih as teammate Omer Asik(Bulls' last year 2nd round pick).Asik improved drastically over years, despite started playing basketball since he was 15 or 16 like that.

Return to Boston Celtics
