That's why they teach you to catch pop ups with two hands when you're in little league. Not only did Castillo botch that play, but then he lackadaisically threw the ball to second base when Tex was on his horse rounding third! Great job by Jeter and Tex to hustle around the bases when it was a weak ass pop up.

that is the first time I have seen a team win a game on a play like that.. I mean a routine pop up.. Not a long drive, or a diving attempt, but a routine pop up..... those second basemen do have small goves, so they can get the ball out quickly on double plays, but geez, you have to make that play.. Hopefully this break gets us on the right track...

this was truly, truly a gift....

Don't know if I even feel good about this one... LOL

Lost in the hub bub is another terrible game from Arod. How many hittable pitches has he popped up all year? Man, he has been terrible.

Look at this video and go to the 44 second mark

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADs6kV2428M

I could be reading into it too much, but Melky jumps on ARod's back and kind of drags him down a little, it looks like ARod immediately grabs him hip and pushes Melky off of him. We all know ARod isn't right and I'm not trying to make excuses, this just caught my eye. Wonder how badly hes playing hurt.

I think that was cano, and yea, A-rod kind of gets him off, maybe the hip is bothering him a bit.. who knows... but could be a reason for his less than stellar play...

well to make things clear, fernnado nieve was a top pitching prospect for the astros who was rushed back from TJS, mets picked him up and the astros look like morons for not keeping him.

and the mets are #2 in the NL in team batting and #4 overall in baseball so them getting that many hits isn't really suprising ... they had 15 hits i believe a few days ago vs hamels.
LOL Y U MAD THO?
