that's a very astute observation peteros

In less than a month, the Jays have gone from the hottest team in the league at 27-14 to a mediocre one at 34-31..... Ugh

I didn't get to watch any of the game, but Howarth and Wilner are saying that Wells was at least hitting the ball hard, which he hasn't been doing lately, despite not getting any hits. They seem to think that this might be the start of a turnaround for Vernon. Did anyone who watched the game notice this at all?

This team has regressed to the level I expected (around .500), but I'll never understand their struggles in interleague play.

Going to Philly next....I have no idea how our mediocre pitchers are going to get Utley, Howard, and Ibanez out.

I didn't really watch that much, but Vernon hit a hard liner to CF that I saw, and a hard ground ball that Uggla made a good play on.

Didn't watch the game today for obvious reasons, but boy, what a pleasant surprise from Vernon. Sorry Wilner, there is no silver lining to an ofer series.

FFS Cito, drop the bum to 8th already. Not only hasn't he hit a ball at least 330ft on the fly in ages, he's a major liability in the heart of our order. As sure an out as they come these days. The guy is trying way too hard.

Rios' OPS is up to .790 last I checked, which is basically where his career OPS is. Why exactly were people tying him with Vernon's horrible struggles again? And why did Cito move him down in the order and Vernon up?

Wilner always seems to only talk about the positives, and only the positives, so I'm not surprised... but i hope it's true and Vernon is seeing the ball a bit better

That jerk only talks about the positives when it comes to defending that loser Ricciardi. On the other hand, he never misses a chance to discredit Cito with his subtle jabs and constant nit pickings.

Really? I must admit I do'nt get a chance to listen to Wilner that much, but whenever I do, it always seems that he's always defending the Jays, especially when the callers are complaining about certain players, etc... Especially Vernon and Rios... But I am judging with a small sample size.
