Bobcats War Room - Pick 24 - 2009

Post#1 » by August Us Seazr » Fri Jun 12, 2009 2:05 pm

After two aborted attempts to get Pick 24 up, maybe this third time will be the charm. I hope so.
To bring everyone up to date, Sam Young got plucked out of the pool and placed in the 23rd spot on our Big Board of Desired Draft Picks for 2009.

Just before my computer signed off on me, I had started to write about how we now seem to be picking from the bottom of the list on our daily nine. Eric Maynor has been on the menu for a long-long time, guys. My SuperMock has him at 16. From that, NBADraft.net has him at # 10! Too many point guards, not a need for point guards. What irony! Did I mention that Maynor is from Fayetteville? He's a home grown boy, apparently with a lot of maturity.

Has your favorite from this draft seen the nine yet? I think I've been so busy looking at the forest, that I haven't had time to focus on the trees, but I haven't really gotten attached to anyone yet. There are some folks out there that would be good on the 'Cats, we just have to have them there when we draft.

Ready to draft another guy? Let's round up # 24!

Thornton. The guy can score. If the first SG we draft doesn't work out, we'd have him waiting in line or if we go BPA or fill another need with our 12th pick, Thornton would be a a solid choice. Or otherwise, he'd make a solid third stringer.

I vote Ellington for the same reasoning that Benjamin Linus used for Thornton.

Ellington has his game coming together nicely. National Championship pedigreed. He just needs to put his work in to excel over others in this draft class. He would get that chance in Charlotte.

I'm gonna keep voting Maynor until he's off the board. He should never last this long and is far too talented to be ignored. Take the talent and find a way to use him.

I think Summers is the best player on the list.

That could well be, Walt, but Ellington has taken the vote...This Time! Now, who can you convince the rest of us to vote for at Pick 25? We'll soon see!

Claw on, Guys!
