Amare is on the block.

Trade ID #5113110

What do you think. Add in a 1st round pick in next year's draft from the Nets to the Suns.

C Lopez
PF Amare

A lot of Nets fans on this board don't like Amar'e... He's personally the guy I want in 2010 though. His injuries are a bit concerning, but Amar'e is a guy who with his head on straight can be a top 5 big man in the league (even with his atrocious defense).

I'm not anti-Amare, but considering the issues above along with the fact he can bolt after 1 year, this deal (Vince, Yi and 2010 #1) is a big overpayment IMO.

only way the Nets go after a guy like this and give up draft picks is if they can sign him to extension. otherwise, they wont be renting

If Amare is willing to sign an extension, I think that's a deal I'd be willing to go for, despite his deficiencies.

Three Things:

1) The Nets would definitely not pull this trade unless Amare agreed and would sign an extension
2) Amare when healthy is a Top 10 NBA Player. We would have to make sure he stays healthy, wears those goggles, and works on his Defense.
3) NetsForce where did you get that sig on the bottom with the Kobe doll... That is simply amazing... I love the TO DO LIST

Haha the funniest thing in Netsforce's sig is the quote from the article the other day about Yi. What's funnier is that 106 million watched that game at the izod, but since it wasn't nationally televised, I'd say only 1 million max (I'd even say less...like 250K) watched that game in the states lol.

I made it for the Lakers board. They were having some semi-contest thing where they wanted someone to design them a NBA finals sig so I made the sig that I'm rocking now.

I would rather have Boozer then Amar'me.
What am I saying?! I would rather not have Amar'me at all.

I dont see the Suns doing that trade. That doesn't help their financial situation at all and they get a lineup of
Shaq
Yi
Carter?
JRich
Nash

Thats a primetime lineup...for and-1 minus Yi

Return to Brooklyn Nets
