Suns should of kept Diaw and Bell, but hindsight is what it is...

If Diaw and Bell is still here, the PF/SF spot would be in a better situation and hence easier to trade Stoudemire without losing too much.
Because (A) Diaw has shown that he performs well and produces when Stoudemire is out. (B) Diaw can also slot to the C and SF spot and be "decent" at that, giving dept.


Not much people here liked Diaw, because yes I saw that he under performed a lot but thats when Stoudemire was on the roster. Diaw ALWAYS ALMOST lifted his production 150% when he was the primary low post player, he put up 15 points 7 rebounds and around 6 assists giving flexibility to move around SF/PF/C....


J.Rich is "okay" player, but Suns dont need him, they needed someone who can shoot the 3 and defend, Bell was fine but regressed a little and was not happy with Porter and it affected his output... ironically, Porter was fired anyway and now Suns are stuck.




Maybe unload one of Barbosa or J.Rich.... Barbosa to Thunder for Sefalosha + Suns 2010 pick back?
Sefalosha becomes the Ariza-type to play SG/SF for the Suns. The guy has shown he can ball when given time on court.

It's not just hindsight though. This thread is sad because everyone is right. And Kerr and Sarver should have been capable of realizing before the trade that a player like JRich wasn't what we needed. We absolutely did not need another offensive player who was bad at defense. Offense was the very last thing we needed to strengthen. What a ridiculous trade. I would re-do it again to have either Bell or Diaw back, to be honest.
