Atleast Morrison didn't hurt the team
Sasha Vujacic = The Phail Machine = The Ring Blocker

Trade Sasha before he ruins the Lakers next season.

Come on, guys. Let's celebrate this championship first and then worry about getting rid of Vujacic's useless ass.

ammo will probably be easier to get rid of, since his contract expires sooner

Still trying to figure this one out. What the hell happened to him during the offseason. He was a good shooter last year but couldn't throw it into the ocean this year. he might as well have been shooting half court jumper. I'd say trade him but who the hell would even want him at this point?

His shooting performance reverted back to what it used to be. Still, a little reluctant to suggest the contract year explanation at this point, considering that his effort and the other aspects of his game seemed to be more or less still there in 08-09.

At least he was still a pain the arse on D... isn't that right Von Wafer? Got him so worked up he shot himself onto the bench, then into the locker room.

sasha...its all mental...he is not robert horry. the boy needs rythm , ala 15 to 20 a game to find his gear.

i am not ready to dispense with based on performance, but rather with the glut of 2/3's where does he play?

still, with such an emotional type of guy, he has too much emotion to just come off the bench as an assasin.

We don't have a glut of 2s and 3s. That's non-sense. We have two capable SFs who split time and we have backup minutes required behind Kobe so that he's at his best in next year's playoffs. Sasha has playing time.

I just don't know if we need that first round pick if all players are retained.

fair enough...i just look at trevor, luke, shannon, kobe, lamar all being 2/3's in this system all would and do and did get playing time at sasha's position on the team...

look i like sasha, i really do, and i want him to succeed...

maybe the first question asked should be, whether phil stays or not, and then if he doesnt, who is next and how shall they use our roster...?

Lamar played the 3 for ten minutes the entire season. He's a PF, plain and simple.

Shannon can play the 2 but Phil prefers him at the 1. I agree with him on that. The roster itself needs to be tweaked but most importantly Buss must retain his players. There's one weakness as of now which was not exposed badly which is that we have trouble guarding very large SFs like LeBron. Ariza will have to gain weight most likely.

A Sasha trade for a large SF would also help us in any case.

Don't forget the Chinese Magic in that count.
At a mere pittance, he's got to be retained as 12th man (or 13th).

Basically, I think these guys are safe due the $$$:
Powell 959k
Mbenga 959k
Yue 736k
#42 pick 450k

Roster minimum is 13, so these 4 guys eat up only 3.1 mil.

What's more curious is how much money Buss made off of this season. It should be pretty high. His evaluation should be if I keep Odom it's likely we get back to the Finals at least. He doesn't he risks three home playoff games by not even being in the Finals. That's 12m right there, the price of Lamar in general.

This Laker team is far far stronger than the one that lost to the Celtics. Ariza and Bynum as well as the developing Shannon Brown make it so. You can't subtract 2 out of the top 5 and expect the same results.

Morrison can shoot threes. I would rather give him more minutes than Sasha. But if Sasha gets his shot back, It would be much better.

Return to Los Angeles Lakers
