Don't trade Matt Cain

Im not down for trading Matt Cain for Derek Lee. We need a bat, I get it, but not at the cost of Matt Cain. We need to keep our pitching staff together

Well no, I'm not down for trading Matt Cain for Derek Lee either. He's old and he stinks.

We have to think about whether we're going to be able to keep both Tim and Matt long term. I mean we still have Zito locked up, and we're going to have to sign Bumgarner and Alderson eventually.

I wouldn't be against trading Matt for the right bat, just not Derek Lee.

Giants wont trade Cain. Possibly for A-Rod but that wont ever happen so no need to worry about it. You trade Alderson. Lin, Cain and Mad are untouchable. Wheeler has little value until he plays a few professional games. Alderson is the odd man out. Alderson + Sanchez will get you an allstar bat in return.

I don't think it's an actual rumour... But there have been reports since the offseason about the possibility (whether true or not) of trading Cain for a bat. Lee is just the most recent bat rumoured to be on the market.

They really need to deal Sanchez and Freddy Lewis for a big bat that plays 1B or play some O/F and pitching prospect.

Matt Holiday and Nick Johnson are the two names as being available but think they should go after Adrian Gonzalez or Nick Swisher...

Cain won't be traded. He's the best pitcher so far on one of the best rotations in the league.
