Francisco just pulled two in a row about 1,000 feet combined foul.

I find it rather funny that you bring this up right after he hits a rocket right at Peralta.

So? Poor timing maybe, but is what I'm saying wrong? If not, then it doesn't matter when I bring it up. I was reminded of it when Brian and Bill brought the topic up for the 2309418351839243rd time.

Hoffman is getting hit hard, much like the last two days

Game.

Hoffman cannot pitch three days in a row again. That was a scary 9th.

Not sure if it was the 3 days in a row or the fact that he's just been a little scary the past few outings - probably some of each.

His K rate is up only 2% from last year, not a big difference. He has the same LD%, less infield flies, he's not swinging at pitches out of the zone as much although he's not swinging as much at pitches in the zone. The only thing that's different is a .233 BABIP vs the .306 BABIP he had last year and the .278 BABIP for his career.

That's all luck whether you're tired of hearing it or not.

Motherf'er. I turned the game on the radio on the way back from my vball league, heard they were down 12-8, then got a call, turned the game off and didn't turn it back on once I got home. Sounds like a crazy game.

Best game of the year. I said early on it was going to be a wild one.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

What a rollarcoaster ride. Everyone chipping in. How about Casey McGehee? I hope we've found something there. I don't expect him to keep hitting at this pace obviously, but even if he can hit .275/.280 consistantly it adds an extra dimension. JJ is gonna get hot. We just need to be more consistant all across the board.

Bad luck does not make a .200 batting average, or cause a 4 for 45 slump, if you even believe in luck at all. He's escaping deserved criticism on the idea that he's simply had "bad luck" for 2 out of 3 months of this season. I find it ridiculous.

EDIT: Great game. Glad I had the chance to catch most of it.

Again, you obviously missed the last home stand. He blasted a couple of balls to the deepest part of the park that were caught at the wall, he had a few line drives hit right at defenders. All you can do is make solid, hard contact with the ball. He's done that, they're just right at people. How is that not luck?

Just got back from watching it at a buddies place. What an amazing win. When Prince got a on base with the bases loaded, I felt eerily confident that he'd at least hit a double. He's been on fire. But once he got a hold of that pitch, we both just stood up and screamed. We scared the sh** out of his girlfriend in the other room. It was worth it. What a f**king win.

This is the type of win that breaks a team out of a prolonged slump. Let's see if they can capitalize on this momentum. Great win!
