2009-2010 Washington Wizards Season

Post#1 » by Agent0_MVP » Mon Jun 15, 2009 3:11 am

Its official. The NBA 2008-2009 NBA season is over with the LA Lakers winning the championship in 5 games. Congrats to the Magic for dethroning Latravel and the Cavs and for being the best team in the East in 2008-2009.

Its 11:00 est time, and I officially declare it our new season. A season of full health. A season to look foward to more than the last 2 without Arenas.

As of now we have our Big 3. I don't think they are going anywhere for the 2009-2010 season. I look foward for some very special things to happen this season. All in thanks to the bad luck we have had in the previous 3 seasons.

In less than 2 weeks we draft 5th in the draft. We have already added to special coaches. Flip and Sam. What is EG and these two coaches going to do to make us better than what we are when we were healthy 3 or 4 seasons ago.

I have a feeling we will either trade the 5th for someone of great talent, or we will draft Curry and use him, Young and Blatche as bait to land the talent we need to fight at full strength against the top teams of the east. The teams we could and would have beaten if healthy the last few seasons.

I lay it all out on the line now. If we dont make it to the Eastern Conference Finals next season: The Big 3 are done and it will be rebuilding time.

The season at this moment foward is do or die. We either stay healthy and add the peices we need to contend for the Eastern Conference crown, or we begin back before the Eddie Jordan era. The one where MJ left. The Wizards the dont make the playoffs.

Lets make some noise...."BRING EM OUT BRING EM OUT!"

Go Arenas and Wizards!!

The Future is NOW OR NEVER!!

I enjoy 100% Gilbert Arenas and have never wanted a guy I didn't personally know to recover from an injury so badly. The next 5 years of this franchise hangs in the balance. Make no mistake about it. This coming season will be as important as our first Gil-led playoff run season. I'm optimistic... but it's scary.

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

Lakers/Clippers fan living in L.A. I've told my friends that for next season, the best 4 teams in each conference would be the Lakers, Nuggets, Rockets, and Spurs in the West and the Cavaliers, Celtics, Magic, and Wizards in the East.

I really think the Wizards are going to do some serious damage in the East conference next season, and I'm getting a lot of slack from my friends back here haha. They think it's gonna be Celtics or Cavaliers from the East that make it to the NBA Finals next year, which of course, would be the obvious choice.

I honestly think Wizards will have a healthy season for the first time in years and be contenders in the East. Gilbert Arenas, Deshawn Stevenson, Caron Butler, and Antawn Jamison. That's almost like a Big 4. Plus two years of underachieving seasons have given you guys some seriously talented youth in Javale McGee, Javaris Crittenton, Nick Young, and whoever you guys select at #5.

^^^ Take Stevenson of that list and put Haywood on it... That's our "Big 4"...

Too bad he's the most underrated (defensive) center in the league...

Seriously, nobody outside of DC seems to know who Haywood is. I swear every other projected Wizards lineup I see from non-Wizards fans has Javale Mcgee/Blatche/(even Etan Thomas starting :o ), with Haywood nowhere to be found.
