Idk how likely it is that we get the 5 for that but in the event that we do, I would head to the bar at 5:50 PM right now and probably not stop celebrating until the draft is over. It would have to be like a Rubio/Thabeet/(Evans/Harden/DeRozan) selection. Don't tease me like this though.

Not sure, that would be kind of awkward since this draft is so guard heavy, unless you go with Thabeet at 2 (Which would be a mistake) you're going to have one of the picks on the bench.

Ideally I would draft Rubio then use 5 and 6 to get Harden at 3. If we have to use all 3 picks, I would go Rubio-Evans-Curry I guess.

If the chips fell right...Rubio, Harden, Thabeet. Realistically, I'd take Rubio, Hill, and DeRozan.

I don't see Evans working well with Rubio in the back court.

Rubio @2. I think SAC would take either Evans or Jennings so it'd depend on OKC. If the y went with Thabeet, then I'd draft Harden and maybe reach for Clark.
Rubio
Harden
Clark

If OKC went with Harden then I'd draft Thabeet and DeRozan.

Rubio
and 2 of Harden/Thabeet/Hill/Evans/DeRozan/Clark depending on who is available...

Realistically this would be

Rubio
Thabeet/Hill (Thabeet is obviously the better fit here but I think Hill will turn out to be the better player so I don't really know who I'd take...)
DeRozan/Evans (think I'll prefer DeRozan here)

In all honesty, I don't see 3 rookies working that well either. I would just imagine Evans coming off the bench. I think he would actually be a pretty good fit along Foye since he can guard either guard position.

Yeah, but long term, Evans and Rubio should hypothetically be our 2 best guards...and probably play significant minutes together. I'm not sure Evans can excel without the ball in his hands.

#2-Rubio
#5- Harden
#6+foye for #3-Thabeet

Yeah, it's a reach. I just didn't think we needed to draft a third guard and, if we are going to move Love, I'd just as soon not repeat the two PF experiment with Hill. Maybe a trade down for Clark would work.
Rubio/Harden/Clark/Jefferson would be a nice 1-4 I think.

I would like Rubio, Thabeet and Hill. Then we could start Foye and Gomes to get their stats up for a potential deadline trade. Also solidify the defense and athletisism next to Big Al.

I think I would rather have Evans since he is arguably the BPA, has more trade value, high ceiling, and he brings versatility.

I like the Clark pick if we get Rubio and Harden...

Rubio and Harden would give us our future backcourt and we should look to add either a C or a SF then...Clark seems like the best option to me then...he has a lot of talent and his size is great for a SF.

The correct answer for those that are unsure was posted by me earlier. ;-)

1. Clippers - Griffen
2. Wolves - Rubio
3. Thunder - Harden or DeRozan
4. Kings - Evans
5. Wolves - Harden or DeRozan
6. Wolves - Thabeet
18. Wolves - Clark?

C - Thabeet/Madsen
PF - Jefferson/Clark
SF - Gomes/Miller
SG - Harden/Brewer
PG - Rubio/Foye

I would want Rubio, Henderson, DeRozan

-So I think I would deal with Milwaukee for #10 instead of Washington for the #5 and take Henderson at #10 then.

I wouldn't mind a Rubio, Hill, DeRozan either

If Harden were to fall (Sacramento taking a PG), I'd probably go
Rubio, Harden, DeRozan

If somehow Thabeet fell
Rubio, Thabeet, DeRozan

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
