I like how Pula keeps proposing trades that moves Williams from the starting PG to backup SG in the depth charts...

I like Mo off the bench if we could add another scorer like Richard Hamilton. The depth in our entire front court and the bench back court was so appallingly bad that if we could bring someone like Mo off the bench that would be great. He could play either PG or SG and if he is hot he could play down the stretch. While I have been critical of Ferry for not doing enough in the past, I will admit that he has a lot of work a head of him to make this team a contender. I count at least 4 teams that will be better than the Cavs before any moves are made. If a team makes a big signing or a trade they could easily vault past the Cavs team as they are situated.

Hamilton is not more of a scorer than Mo, he's just not and he absolutely is dependent on someone else making his shot opportunities. I actually like Kwame, but the Cavs need a down low threat not someone who couldn't catch a basketball if his life depended on it.

People overstate the issues that the Cavs have had at the 2. Delonte did an outstanding job this season. No way is he the issue and yet alot of deals have him being the one on the bench. Yeah, I see him as a 6th man eventually, but not for the overpriced guys that are being mentioned.

Our backcourt is set. Mo and Delonte are a big reason why we won as many games as we did, and although they had some poor games against Orlando, they are not the reason we lost, it was our frontcourt.

Both players are young and durable and have good chemistry with Lebron. We spent years without a viable backcourt, now we finally have one why are people wanting to change it? Delonte West is both one of the greatest shooters in the league and best defenders at the two, and has PG skills to boot. He's the total package, why would you want to trade him?

We need a long, athletic wing off the bench who can defend and produce consistently.

That should have been Sasha Pavlovic, he has the perfect skillset for what we need, he's just an inconsistent bonehead. A Posey-type player would be fine. We don't need an overhaul at the 2, just a long backup who can defend.

Our biggest problem comes in the frontcourt, mainly scoring in the paint, on your own, without a sweet pass from LeBron(looking at you, andy). We need youth in the frontcourt, but would settle for a year of Shaq if it's all we could do. We won't trade Hickson to get it done though.

We could also use a true back-up PG, but I expect them to just take a Euro at #46 and stash him for a few years.

I agree an athletic swing man who can play good D and sub for West and Bron 25 mins a night would be great. Someone in the mould of Ariza or Pietrus. That and a decent big and our team is set for awhile.

How about we try to move Sasha to Portland for Outlaw. Portland saves 2.5 million on the deal, and then has more cap space to go after a veteran PG or SF.

Delonte should move to the bench, and we should bring in a SG to start in his place - make Delonte our sixth man, he would kill opposing bench players...

Sasha for Amir + First rounder

JJ + Ben + Pick + Cash for Kwame + Amir + Rip + Pick?

:P

I was thinking about how everyone wanted Webster a while back. He seems out of the loop with Portland but would fit in perfectly here. He's got a longer contract so we may be able to pry their pick from them with him. Sasha for Webster and #24? Not the best deal, but could be a solid backup plan.

Love the Webster idea. He is a good outside shooter also and is young enough to be a part of the core.

Not a blockbuster but would be a solid move.

How bout Kenyon Martin for Big Ben? If Ben is retiring and can come to a reasonable buyout, then the nugs might do it for capspace.

Kenyon is probably the nugs best defender and plays well off the ball, so should flow with Lebron nicely.

I wouldnt mind either or both moves. I dont think Denver does this as they were arguably the second best team in the west this year, and Martin is a big part of that. The Webster idea is a good one, if not Webster maybe Outlaw. I'm not sure which Portland is higher on, but they seem somewhat redundant. But both have more value on the court than Sasha.

Trying to think of trades. I don't know if Charlotte is looking to save money or if they want to hold onto Alexis Ajinca, but it gives us a good scoring option in Gerald Wallace and a veteran big.

Cleveland Trades: Ben Wallace, Sasha Pavlovic, 1st Rd. Pick (30th).
Cleveland Receives: Gerald Wallace, Alexis Ajinca, Nazr Mohammed.

Charlotte Trades: Gerald Wallace, Alexis Ajinca, Nazr Mohammed.
Charlotte Receives: Ben Wallace, Sasha Pavlovic, 1st Rd. Pick (30th).

This is probably dreaming and is way out of reach. Monta Ellis isn't working out in GS, and we could use another scoring option. He could play SG and Delonte could come off the bench. We take on Maggette's horrible contract, but also get an alright big in Turiaf. Maybe another pick to get it done. It saves GS a lot of money.

Cleveland Trades: Ben Wallace, Sasha Pavlovic, 1st Rd. Pick (30th).
Cleveland Receives: Monta Ellis, Ronny Turiaf, Corey Maggette.

Golden State Trades: Gerald Wallace, Alexis Ajinca, Nazr Mohammed.
Golden State Receives: Ben Wallace, Sasha Pavlovic, 1st Rd. Pick (30th).

Just ideas. What do you guys think? It's something new, rather than the Shaq/Vince/Jamison trades.
