Please No Henderson...but I do think if we got Rubio than Derozan would be a great pick. Alley-oops and a nice mid range game.
I would want Thabeet, but I dont think he would be realistic falling to #5. I could see Rubio, Curry, and Derozan working out well.
With those assets I might give the clippers a call as well...and at least kick the tires.
What would you do with #2,#5,#6?

Why DeRozan but no Henderson? What does he do better? Henderson is also a sweet mid-range shooter, is probably DeRozan's only athletic equal in this draft at the position, is a better defender and is more refined. He is an inch and a half shorter than DeRozan, but has a longer wing span (a freakish 6'10.25") and exactly the same standing reach (8'6.5"). Plus he's a smarter player than DeRozan. Henderson is similar to a more polished version of DeRozan. I'd love to pair the two on the wings with Ricky Rubio at point.
If I didn't make it clear, I love Gerald Henderson.

He's ok, but he doesn't seem like he has much more room to improve. I'd rather have DeRozan.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

First, he didn't say Henderson was in that room. You don't know what behind door number one.... errr, one oh seven (107).
Second, We would be able to package 5 or 6 to whoever with something small, (see pick #28), to make sure we get Thabeet. So Rubio and Thabeet down, you take the guard of your choice at the other pick (Harden and Evans likely gone as would likely be 5 & 28 for #3, leaving us with #6). Then hope we can grab Daye or possibly reach some for Casspi and let him sit in Europe a year to be brought over with Pek in 2010.

Who ever said I wanted it to be Henderson? *winks knowingly*
I also like Rubio/DeRozan/Henderson because not only is it orgasmic, but also it's obviously more attainable than Rubio/Thabeet/whoever. mmmm...all the alley-oops...not to mention Brewer and Carney if we were to keep both of them. That's some nasty dunkifying.

Does this mean you're going to lock me in a room with John Cusack and then something with Samuel L. Jackson?

My thoughts exactly on Henderson, he has a nice jump shot on offense to spread the floor (the type of guy that the other team needs to guard or he will make most of his shots, which would open up the floor for Rubio, Jefferson, and others) and he is capable of hitting for 3 as well, he will be an excellent defender in the NBA, and he is very athletic meaning that he would have the ability to guard anyone on defense.
I think Henderson would only be our 4th option on offense and that's all we would need him to be with Jefferson, Rubio, and DeRozan; but I think that he would be our top defender and be able to contain the likes of Kobe, Wade, JJ, Lebron, and others and keep them under 30 points a night.
