What's your 'IDEAL' DRAFT scenario

Post#1 » by Smills91 » Tue Jun 16, 2009 5:46 pm

Make it reasonable and LIKELY. Obviously Griffin won't be there at 4 and Rubio won't be there at 23.

Mine is:

Rubio or Evans @ #4
Omri Casspi at #23
Marcus Thornton, Jermaine Taylor or Toney Douglas at #31.

Mine 'IDEAL' DRAFT scenario is..........

1. Petrie is able to work out a deal with Toronto involving the #4, Thompson, Garcia, & KT for Bosh and the Raptors #9. With the Kings taking either Curry, Flynn, Jennings or Johnson at #9. At #31 I hope they take Christmas or Demarre Carroll

2. They take #4 Harden, #23 Maynor/even if they have to move up/#31 Christmas

3. They trade down in the #9- #14 range and take James Johnson, #23 Maynor or Holiday, #31 Christmas.

I think he meant just draft picks^^ not trades. It makes this thread boring listing trades that probably wont ever happen you know? But i'll love that to happen though. Your Bosh trade!!

But mine is

Rubio/Evans #4
Daye/Hansbrough/Casspi #23
Mills/Calathes/Meeks #31

#4 Rubio if he's there, Holiday if he's not
#23 Omri, Classic Petrie pick, usually works out well
#31 Taj Gibson, little bit of muscle in the front court

I like the potential that this draft will create for the kings. Holiday and Rubio are both good defenders and should take a little bit of pressure off of thompson and Hawes.

#23. Terrence Williams, Omar Cassipi
#31. Patrick Mills, Derrick Brown

I do not for the life of me understand the desire to select Holiday over Evans or Harden.

4. Rubio, Evans, or Harden
23. James Johnson, Tyler Hansbourgh, Omar Cassipi
31. Marcus Thornton, Tony Douglas, Taj Gibson

Ideally, I would package the 23 and Donte Greene for an opportunity to trade up and secure the rights to Earl Clark who would come in and immediately become the backup to the 3 and 4. But, within the guidelines set forth, this would be a nice outcome. Im a fan of Johnson.
Interesting, you have some ideas you would like to bounce off Brian Sabean? That's strange, I have some objects I would like to bounce off Brian Sabean.

I see a lot of Rubio at 4. I'm still in the camp that believes this guy doesn't drop past #2 so try not to get your hopes up! or do....
