looks to be very mixed opinions here. teague looks to have the edge over mullens though, especially when some of the negative views on mullens are factored in. so i'm penciling in teague for the jazz

For everyone bashing on Mullens take this article about Kosta Koufos into consideration and see if you find any similarities?

http://blogs.sltrib.com/jazz/

SL Trib wrote:It's a poorly kept secret that the reason Koufos dropped in the draft had nothing to do with the possibility he would play in Greece and everything to do with the reviews Ohio State coach Thad Matta offered to NBA teams that asked about Koufos.

I've heard that Matta was less than glowing from other NBA general managers, people within the Jazz organization as well as those close to Koufos. One person told me that Matta didn't get in touch with Koufos until a full week after last year's draft.

Koufos' high school coach, Jack Greynolds Jr., blasted Matta in an interview last June with the Canton Repository newspaper. His comments didn't garner much attention in Utah, but they definitely caused a stir back in Ohio.

"Listen, if you can't get along with a kid like Kosta, then you're clueless," Greynolds told the Repository. "If you're making $2 million a season and can't figure out how to use a 7-foot-1 kid, you're clueless.

"If you can't get along with a kid who comes early, stays late and gets good grades, you're clueless, and you've got the problem."

Don't be surprised at all if BJ Mullens is experiencing the exact same things from the exact same coach.

I think even the people who want Mullens would be fine with Teague, works for me.

When the Hornets board makes its call I'll move on to the next team board. I'll wait until it seems a clear frontrunner has been determined. If that cannot be accomplished I'll step in and make a reasonable selection for you :wizard:

1. Clippers - Blake Griffin PF, 20, Oklahoma City, OK
2. Grizzlies - Ricky Rubio PG, 18, Barcelona, Spain
3. Thunder - Hasheem Thabeet C, 22, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
4. Kings - James Harden SG, 19, Los Angeles, CA
5. Wizards - Tyreke Evans G, 19, Chester, PA
6. Wolves - Demar DeRozan G/F, 19, Compton, CA
7. Warriors - Jrue Holiday G, 19, Chatsworth, CA
8. Knicks - Jordan Hill PF, 21, Atlanta, GA
9. Raptors - Brandon Jennings PG, 19, Los Angeles, CA
10. Bucks - DeJuan Blair PF, 20, Pittsburgh, PA
11. Nets - James Johnson PF, 22, Cheyenne, WY
12. Bobcats - Terrence Williams SG, 21, Seattle, WA
13. Pacers - Stephen Curry G, 21, Charlotte, NC
14. Suns - Earl Clark F, 21, Plainfield, NJ

END LOTTERY (pretty decent bet that these are the 14 players actually taken if you ask me)

15. Pistons - Austin Daye F, 21, Irvine, CA
16. Bulls - Jonny Flynn PG, 20, Niagara Falls, NY
17. Sixers - Ty Lawson PG, 21, Clinton, MD
18. Wolves - Gerald Henderson SG, 21, Caldwell, NJ
19. Hawks - Eric Maynor PG, 22, Fayetteville, NC
20. Jazz - Jeff Teague PG, 21, Indianapolis, IN

And with the #21 pick New Orleans takes...?

(Support/ridicule of choices encouraged)

^Thanks, Bat...I wasn't clear about what I was asking. I'm curious about what the other teams do, and just wondered if he updated the list after each choice somewhere so I don't have to follow him around all the team boards :D

but not the will or work ethic. 2 things you can't teach.

the only reason he plays basketball is so he can help his mom out.

We have no proof he does not have work ethic, just the word of a coach who didn't even use Kosta Koufos right. He plays because he has talent, and if he is trying to help his mother then more power to the kid--that is one of the right reasons to be in the NBA and it is going to be a source of motivation for him.

I really don't think there's a valid reason to doubt Mullens ability to become a legit NBA 7 footer.
There has to be some bias on the guy or something. I remember people going crazy about Saer Sene just because a 2 minutes youtube.. can't understand what's the thing against Mullens... I'm pretty sure he will be picked higher than currently predicted by most draft gurus...

Here are 3 reasons:

-lack of basketball skills
-lack of improvement during freshman year of college
-getting dominated by Luke Nevill in a workout

Could he develop? Yes. It is possibly. Will he develop? I would put it as a very long shot.
