Wow, what a draining game to watch.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Mitch Stetter = 2010 Closer.
It's a matter of opinion, and your opinion is wrong.

I'll have my crow with a side of Megan Fox.

Good lord, we scored 30 runs that series and not one of the wins was easy.

Bottom line is he's playing very well right now and the guy we got for him has been absolutely useless.

I don't think anyone is disputing that. I think people are disputing the fact that he's a great leadoff hitter, because history shows that he wasn't going to cut it here.

Not exactly a huge sample size here, either.

I didn't necessarily care one way or another about the Gwynn deal. As has been said, he wasn't going to get another shot here from Melvin. I wouldn't have moved him for Gerut. Others would have given him away for a bag of balls. Whatever.

Gerut has been hurt, and maybe he was on 'roids or something. But he has a career .769 OPS and he had a few seasons over .800.

Yeah, Gwynn didn't have that sample size but right now his career is .667 and about 1/5 of that is his .893 OPS this year that isn't going to hold up.

He is probably going to have a .600 - .650 OPS over his career with some steals and good defense. Cam has his faults, but I'm sure most people are fine with him as the starter and I'd rather have a guy with some pop in his bat off the bench as a lefty. That is what Gerut could be for us.
