I have agreed to a lot of the Okafor deals.

Lotto pick swap + Okafor for Gasol

Lotto pick swap + Okafor for Collison and the late 1st

Detroit trade isn't bad if the FO is forced to just dump a contract

I just don't like this deal. It helps us 2 seasons from now and could really, really, work out... but by then LB will have quit, Boris would be fat, Wallace would probably be in critical condition and the franchise would be moving locales.

trading for a player coming off a major knee injury is just too much of a gamble for me.

if healthy, i do it in a heartbeat, but twolves wouldnt.

Are you saying it helps us 2 years from now because you don't think Big Al will be back next year or the fact that you think that even if healthy he still needs more years in becoming a good big man? Because if it is the latter, you are wrong. Jefferson would be able to come in right away (if recovered) and produce. This dude is better than Okafor and has established himself in the league. He should have been an All Star this year. If he didn't play with the T'Wolves he'd be getting more attention. Just making sure that's not the reason you don't want him and it's because of the ACL.

Not saying I'd wouldn't be hesitant in making this trade but now out of all times Big Al's value will be at its lowest because of his risk. And he is said to be ahead of schedule on his rehab.

Amare was ahead of schedule on his ACL recovery, Sean May was ahead of schedule on his, Ammo on his, etc, etc, etc. It takes a full season to recover from a torn ACL, because otherwise you really **** yourself up like Penny did.

I'm not even responding to your first paragraph except to say that I've been a big Al fan for forever...

To me, the whole thing would depend on how our doctors check out Jefferson. If they felt he would be in a position to start and play by the first 15 games, I'd trade Mek. But if they had serious questions or felt he was likely to miss at least 1/2 the year and likely more, then no. Too much of a risk.

Well, reports claim the Suns and Wolves are talking about a deal to send Al and a high pick to Phoenix for Amare. Even if we offered the deal previously mentioned with Okafor, I suspect they'd pull the trigger on the Suns offer first.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

If Jefferson = something close to Stoudemire, then Okafor = something close to Stoudemire or Jefferson. Stoudemire>Jefferson>Okafor. But not by much. Could we trade Oke and 12 for Stoudemire?

I'd rather have Amare
