I do want the trade. But your logic is wrong - you hear from a source (Boston Globe) that you want the deal; then the same source says NO deal is happening, and you don't believe it....that was my point

And I wouldn't say no to Amare for Al + #6...though it seems Amare is getting a tough time here. I was a harsh critic as well but I never questioned his playing ability and what he's done on the court in his career. He's a beast. He's just a one way beast, the same way Dominique and Ben Wallace were specialists in their primes...

i still think there's a team out there we haven't seen in a rumour or whatnot that IS after Amare. A team with young guys, a lottery pick, and serviceable players.

ie

Indiana - MDaniels, BRush (Suns love him), JJack, #13 pick

Golden State - Wright/Randolph, Morrow, Crawford (him and Barbosa off the bench would be a beautiful offensive chaos haha), #7 pick

Milwaukee - Sessions, CBell, JAlexander, #10

There are LOTS of teams with suitors that aren't being mentioned, and if he does go it seems more likely they'd want him moved East surely? I'd LOVE a GS deal that netted us Turiaf + Randolph + Crawford + #7 for Amare + RoLo

-- I've been proposing GS deals for a few months. When you think about it, if there's any way to make it a good bet that Amar'e is more than just a rental, you could pick up a whole lot of talent for him.
We may get p.o'd at him but he's a major, major talent inthis league and there are not many guys like him.

So if we can rebuild thoroughly by moving Stat and Shaq, great. If that means we need to move nash as well, so be it.

I don't know about you guys, but the Suns have me living on the frayed ends of sanity. Sooner or later, they're going to have to lock me up in a sanitarium, like the rest of the disposable heroes.
