Thanks sham..I guess I stand corrected.

BTW, even if the first year is guaranteed I still think the team and player can still negotiate a buyout in that first year which would essentially work the same way as a non guaranteed contract. That's what happened when the Cavs traded Tony Battie for Varejao, Gooden and Hunter with the Cavs buying out Stephen Hunter for a million dollars.

Doesn't it seem like salaries have to match up in a trade? If you add a 13 million dollar Wally World to the Ben and Sasha deal, wouldn't that throw off the salaries? And asking the Suns to add J-Rich also? They say they wouldn't do the first deal because they want good talent in return, but they'll just toss in Richardson for Wally no problem? I don't know. This stuff is so hard to speculate. Ferry has to have the biggest headache right now.

I like the way you guys are thinking, though. We are going to have to get extremely creative, and judging by deals past, I think we can do it.

On a side note, about the Bird rule...I wasn't around when this rule took effect, but I think its hysterical that a rule was seemingly created for Boston to keep its stars intact. I can totally see Davy Stern proposing a new rule for 2010: 'Bron Rights- "Any team in the state of New York can offer any former MVP up to 55% more than any other team, and an additional 35% more than any team whom owns that player's Bird Rights." And I'd expect it to pass.

I think the Suns, if they were to trade Shaq, would just want to dump J-Rich's contract as well. Maybe we'd throw in a pick or two, or maybe even Hickson (gasp!), but it'd well be worth it IMO.

Try to get Posey also for Sasha and sign Rasheed:

Williams/Gibson
Richardson/West
James/Posey
Wallace/Varejao
O'Neal/Ilgauskas

Gives us better talent, saves the Suns some cash, and gives Wally a free $10+ million!

Right, but there's not going to be a lot in it for Wally if this proposed idea went down.

What? Wally would do much better financially with a s&t. He wont even sniff an mle on the free market. BTW, LBJ I think you misunderstood, what I was trying to say is that Wally would do much better s&t, but would have to agree to any trade, thus if he were going to the clippers say, would the extra cash be worth it?

The Cavs say they will sign him after the buyout to try to get a ring.

Don't you think it's getting a bit farfetched now?

I think it was too farfetched when we said we would try to S&T Wally.

How the heck does Cleveland get better? 2009 pick nobody wants because its the last pick in the first round and noone wants to give our guaranteed contract, early 2nd round picks are much better. 2010 will be the last pick again too. Trading a future pick would be the dumbest move this franchise could do. If Lebron leaves this is a 5-6 year rebuilding phase, that pick would be a lottery pick for sure.

Only thing they can do is take on guys like Zach Randolph or kaman, but I am hearing one of those guys might get traded for Hinrich. If I am the clips i would rather take Hinrich and try to make the playoffs than taking on Ben Wallace.

Cleveland has his bird rights and could sign him up to 13million. So basically, a S&T is possible. They should just do a 26 mil/2year S&T but with only 3 million guaranteed and rest with restrictions + send 3million cash so the team could buy him out right away. If that were the case, as a Suns fan, I would like a West+Wallace+Wally+Sasha+Hickson+3mil for JRICH + Shaq + Tucker. We would cut Wally, and probably keep Sasha+Wallce.

Wallace/Lopez/Amundson
Stat/Hickson/Amundson
Hill/Dudley/Sasha
Sasha/Barbosa/West
Nash/West/Dragic

Shaq/Z/Andy
R.Wallace(signed to mle)/Andy/Jackson
LBJ/Danny Green (30th)/Tucker
Richardson/Green/Tucker
Williams/Gibson

S&T have to be at least 3 years, and the first year has to be fully guaranteed. Besides that, your trade is trash.
