Clippers/Kings

Post#1 » by PetrieUnderstudy » Fri Jun 19, 2009 4:19 am

Kings trade:

Beno Udrih, Andres Nocioni & #31

Clippers trade:

Chris Kaman, Al Thornton & Mike Taylor

Why for Clippers?

The Clippers were interested in Beno last year during free agency and it's been known they'd likle to part ways with Baron Davis. They will be drafting Griffin causing a logjam in frontcourt with Camby & Randolph.

Why for Kings?

Beno just isn't the guy they thought he could be and therefore the focus on a PG in this draft. Kaman would give the Kings a solid frontcourt with Thompson, Hawes & Diogu. Thornton would start at SF and Taylor is a nice young backup PG. I also like this for Kings because if we end up landing Rubio the starting PG slot is pretty much his uncontested.

I think this trade makes sense for both teams.

#4 Ricky Rubio/Mike Taylor
Kevin Martin/#23 Terrence Williams
Al Thornton/Francisco Gracia/Donte Greene
Jason Thompson/Ike Diogu/Kenny Thomas
Spencer Hawes/Chris Kaman

Al Thornton while nice and athletic, seems like a black hole on offense.

We would have to do this, but no way would clippers do it. They add salary while losing a prospect? Doesnt make a lot of sense to me.

i would actually agree with this trade...bringing in two promising players in kaman and thorton...bad trade for the clips though.
