Yeah that was off the hook. I didn't even know you could do that!

Re: Scutaro stealing 2nd on a walk!
Scutaro has been totally out of this world this season. For years the leadoff spot has been a big liability for this team, at least since Shannon Stewart was here. Once again going into this season I was very concerned about the idea of Scutaro leading off, but as long as he's rocking a .400+ OBP there's hardly anyone else in the league I'd want over him.
...I can't believe I just said that.

As the leading member of the Scutaro Hate Brigade last year, I happily admit defeat. I have no idea when or how he transformed from a mediocre fielder and reliable but underwhelming hitter into a cross between Ozzie Smith and Derek Jeter, but I'm enjoying it while it lasts.

**** your asterisk.

I'm gonna have to call you on the mediocre fielder comment. Although he wasn't perfect as he is this season he was still very good.
Scutaro has said a few times that the biggest difference for him this season is just having a regular job. Although he got a decent number of ABs in Oakland he was never really classified as a starting position player; he was always the super utility guy. Now he knows that he's going to be out there every day as the starting shortstop, and he knows he has a defined role as the leadoff man.
I'm still skeptical that he can keep hitting at this .300/.400 pace but he certainly hasn't show any signs of slowing down yet.

That was... that was both hysterical and amazing. Scoot has been a pretty solid player this year, it's awesome.

Do you guys think Scutaro will be an All Star? The competition at SS in the AL is extremely thin. Outside of Scutaro only Jeter and Jason Bartlett are having anything close to All Star years. The only question is whether they will bring two SS or three?

Re: Scutaro stealing 2nd on a walk!
This reminded me of how once Tony Fernandez went from first to third on a steal and would have been safe by a mile had the batter not fouled the ball off. It was just weird seeing because as the pitcher was going into his windup you just saw a guy go streaking across the picture.
The worst part is that we don't get to read your comments about Scooter and Slappy (Eckstein).
It's just baffling to see the improvements he has made all around and he's actually keeping it up for a good chunk of the season.
