Giants interested in DeRosa?

7. Mark DeRosa, 3B, Indians: There are still a lot of rumblings about his availability. With so many teams needing hitters and good chemistry guys, the Indians may have to consider a deal. The Giants are pounding the door for hitting, and DeRosa's name has popped up in their internal meetings. The Giants would part with lefty Jonathan Sanchez.

Thoughts? Who would be the fifth starter?

No problem trading Sanchez but not for DeRosa. We can do better and get younger.

If Sanchez goes and it is anybody but Pucetas, there is something wrong.

Sabean gets fixated on marginal dudes and doesn't let up. He tried to sign DeRosa two or three years ago and he can't let it go.

Two notes on this thread. DeRosa goes with Mateo to St Louis and Sadowski the guy to replace Sanchez. Didn't see that coming.
