Sign and trade Boozer for Jefferson
I think the Bucks might be willing to do this trade. Boozer signed for 12 million and traded for jefferson . The jazz would have Pf Ak47 and Milsap Sf Jefferson. . The Bucks add Boozer to play Pf plus save a 2 million on salary cap.

Re: Sign and trade Boozer for Jefferson
Jazz do this trade have to let Milsap walk as cant afford to pay Memo, Ak-47, D-Will and Jefferson. Lets face it people, Boozer leaving and signing with Detroit where Jazz get nothing for him. Unfortunately, that is what is going to happen.
The question should be do your trade and let Milsap walk? Maybe I do it but Jazz love Milsap too much and dont do it. Jazz starting lineup next year>>>
PG Williams
SG Miles
C Memo
PF Milsap
SF AK-47
record 48-34 --out in round 1 or 2

Why would Detriot want to sign Boozer over Milsap? I just don't get it.

Re: Sign and trade Boozer for Jefferson
BC Jazz have option to match offer on milsap and if they sign Milsap that puts them off market for 30 days where Boozer and other free agents would be gone. Jazz also likely match any offer on milsap. Thus, Boozer signs with them then thtas it no waiting no risk other then fact that he is a loser.
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

Why would Boozer agree to go to Milwaukee?

Boozer is all about the money... I think he would "sit injured" anywhere he can get paid.

Re: Sign and trade Boozer for Jefferson
I posted this on the trade forum. What do you think? You lose Boozer but you gain Jefferson and you dump Harpring's $7 million contract on Cleveland, giving you enough financial flexibility to keep Milsap and Okur.
Cleveland Trades
-Ben Wallace
-2010 1st round pick
-JJ Hickson
-Sasha Pavlovic
Cleveland Gets
-Carlos Boozer (Sign and Trade)
-Matt Harpring
Utah Trades
-Carlos Boozer (Sign and Trade)
-2010 1st round pick
-Matt Harpring
Utah Gets
-Richard Jefferson
-Sasha Pavlovic (non-guaranteed contract)
Milwaukee Trades
-Richard Jefferson
Milwaukee Gets
-Ben Wallace (retired/bought out)
-2010 1st round pick (from Cleveland)
-JJ Hickson
-2010 1st round pick (from Utah---not New York's pick)
1. LeBron gets his Robin.
2. Utah saves $7 million on Harprings contract which allows them to keep Milsap and they get a good SF in the process.
3. Milwaukee saves money and obtains a nice young player in the process in JJ Hickson. They also get 2 first round picks out of the deal.

Pretty poor return for Boozer if you ask me.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Re: Sign and trade Boozer for Jefferson
I'd rather get some future assets for Jefferson, and if anyone should get some picks in this trade it is us and not Milwaukee.

Re: Sign and trade Boozer for Jefferson
The reason I like this trade is that Jefferson gives the jazz a good outside Shooter and great defender. This also moves Kirilenko inside and gives someone to defend the basket. Jefferson has only 2 years on this contract and gives the jazz 2 big expiring contracts in Kirilenko and Jefferson next year to work trades with. If Korver opts out and Harping retire the jazz could still be under the luxury tax to resign Milsap and keep Okur.

Jefferson is far from a great outside shooter--respectable, yes, but he is no better than CJ Miles at shooting. He also is not a "great" defender. He has always been someone who can stay on their man and make a play here and there, but he is not going to slow down a Kobe Bryant or Ray Allen. I like some of the skills that he has, but giving up Boozer (who is a much better player) and a future first in a STRONG draft (not like 07 or 08, but much like 05 maybe a bit better) is way too much value. Boozer for Jefferson and a future first rounder works for me, but anything more is pushing it.

Under the current CBA teams have to match within 7 days. While not nearly as bad as 30 it still may be enough to discourage a team from making an offer to a restricted free agent.

Re: Sign and trade Boozer for Jefferson
Chad Ford is reporting that the Spurs and Bucks have agreed to a Jefferson for Oberto, Bowen and Kurt Thomas swap. Great, just what we need, the Spurs getting better.

At least we won't be bothered by Oberto when playing the Spurs. He always seemed to have good games againast us.

Re: Sign and trade Boozer for Jefferson
I think this is a great example of the type of move we'll see all off-season long. Crappy teams who aren't drawing fans will trade away their starters to playoff teams for scrubs in the interest of cutting payroll -- not just for next year's FA crop, but to stay afloat financially.
I think Jazz fans should be encouraged by this.
