What do you mean? The prospect who is going to fall way farther than he should? Harden and Curry aren't falling. Curry won't make it past 8, and it'd be absurd if Harden is still around past the Wizards pick. I'd say either Hollday or Hill, probably Hill. I don't like him much at all though. Brook was one of my three favorite players in last year's draft before he fell. I don't think that exists this year. Even if a guy like Hill falls, there are still a ton of reasons to dislike him.

I don't think anyone "major" in the early part of the lottery will fall like Brook did last year. With that said, I could see someone that was projected to go in the 2nd half of the lottery (pick 8 or lower) fall to the late teens early 20's. Granted, I don't know who that person would be, but if someone was gonna drop 5-10 spots from where they were projected, the middle is where it'll happen this year. There are solid players this draft, but not a lot of studs, so it's gonna come down to personal preferences for teamss.

yeah! no way you guys get your hands on me, I'll go way higher. but dream on!

I have a hard time believing you're James Harden. In the great chance that I'm correct, allow me to tell you that you have a problem. Let me also tell you that you're asking for trouble with a post like this.

If there's someone to fall like Brook did, then it'll be one of the PG/G's. I doubt Hill falls, i think it's more of a strategy by some teams to make other teams think that he's gonna fall. Tyreke Evans is more likely to fall due to his position or Brandon Jennings due to his rumored behavior.

Now, the question is... do we pick Tyreke Evans if he falls to us? I know i wouldn't pick Jennings, i just don't like his game esp. for a PG.

I didn't love Evans this year but he is another guy who would be great long-term next to Harris. I'd pass on Jennings no matter what though. I'm really hoping someone picks him in the top 10. It'd cause someone to drop to us and open our options, plus obviously guarantee that he doesn't come here.

I could see already we're going to disagree a lot about this draft. :D

I hate Evans as a prospect and player. He's a ball dominant shooting guard with a suspect jumper and he is a nonfactor if not negative impact guy off the ball.
He is not a point guard at this level what so ever, I don't care if he started at the point most of the year for Calipari last season. He' snot even a good playmaker and doesn't really make those around him better, he just throws his body into the lane and most of his assists just came out of standard issue college, around the horn ball movement. Memphis ran through their horrid conference filled with division 2 level comp. He's like a Larry Hughes all over again, with less playmaking ability.
Guy that will put up big stats on bad to average teams, maybe make a few playoff runs through his career on a team just absolutley overloaded with talent that doesn't fit well, ala Washington in the Hughes years. Even talking to guys from Philly that saw him religiously in highschool and support him as a local kid that isn't an ass, they still say they don't even like his game.

Jennings I don't love, but I like him and his skills are just to much to pass up at 11 if he falls. If he had went to a major college program, he would have likely been dominant and put up hughe #'s, leading his team to at least the 32 and likely the 16 or Elite 8. IMO, if that had happened he would be getting serious top 5 talk right now and very real 2nd overall consideration.
You can't pass that up at 11, especially with the fact the 11th pick isn't usually a homerun pick in any draft, so even if he busts and winds up just an OK player, it's not that big a deal, considering the enormaous risk/reward potential.

You might be right about Jennings but im not about to pull for another guy who i think is almost a redundant of what we have in Devin, considering you know how i feel about Devin and the willingness to package him for Rubio. However, maybe we can consider him in that spot when it's only, just like what you've said, the 11th pick. But then, if we think that the pick in the 11th is not much of a risk then why not just pull for a winner and former college POY in Tyler H.? I think he's more of a solid pick and a need, as a hard-nosed player that we've been lacking for quite a while now. Or how about a TWill who is more defensive oriented and as he claimed, more of a passing G/F.?

I think we really have enough offense on this team, i think the issue is more on coaching and they need to think of a better way to distribute the ball and get easier baskets and also give Brook more touches. So, in this draft, i think we need to pick defense and/or toughness for the 11th pick.

I completely agree with you here, except Psycho T, I don't even want this guy at a later pick with a trade down. He screams bust. he wouldn't even be anymore talented or ready to play then ANY bigman we have on this roster, including Boone.
Terrence Williams I would love.
I would take Jennings with the thought of showcasing him this season and trading him for a stud big man or wing as part of a package either at the deadline or next offseason.
We agree about the coaching and god willing Opie will be where he should be next season, as a lead assitant in the NBA or a college division 1 head coach. Therefore I wouldn't mind running Dooling at the 2, VC at the 3 and a guy like Jennings as the primary, big minute backup point. I mean if Opie's out and we add different players next year, the whole system and rotations will be different anyway, so changing again wouldn't be a big deal.
I mean, as an after though, if Jennings did turn out to be that good, Devin would still have enormous trade value next offseason and if the FO was really that confident in Brandon as the PG of the future you could trade Devin for an absolute stud at a different position.
But again, I would love T Will, or my favorite is James Johnson, although honsetly, his conditioning does scare me.
I don't really want to trade down, considering, rebuilding or not we have way too many young guys to develop and multiole picks in a very strong draft next year, so I really don't want to add 2 or 3 more this season.
If we did trade down with say Chicago, and Johnson, T Will, Blair and Clark are all gone, I would love to take Maynor at 16 and Derrick Brown or Jeff Pendergraph at 26, although I have a feeling Brown will not be there at 26.
I would still prefer we stay put or trade up for Harden or Hill.

Ideally I would hope that we could trade up and get Harden at 5 or maybe send the 11th and GSW's pick back for Hill at 7. Barring that I would hope for someone to fall to the 11th spot. I'd be extremely happy if both Flynn and Hill were available for the Bucks at 10.

If the 11th pick rolls around and Jennings, Henderson, Blair, Clark, Daye, Johnson, Lawson, Williams and Hansbrough are the guys on the board I'd be happy to trade down to the 16th spot. I don't like Jennings in terms of position, fit, defense, or attitude (love for him to go top 10). Moving down to 16 would still likely net us one of Henderson, Blair, Clark, Johnson, Williams or Hansbrough - all guys that I see fairly equally. Frankly I wouldn't have a problem with any of those guys (worried about Blair's knees though) at 11. Getting one of them and the 26th pick would be a smart move IMO even if the Nets just sold the second pick for cash.

I agree with you Lurk, i just reviewed the whole draft up to 16th and i realized that there is about equal value talent wise up to that spot. I mean i wouldn't be mad if we end up getting Henderson, Hansbrough, Williams or Lawson with the 16th pick and the extra pick (26th) is just a plus. I used to love Blair but when i found out about the knee surgeries, i completely changed my mind about him and im pretty sure RT will not pick him because we all know how RT is scared about getting a player with that history so basically, there's no need to bring him into the mix because 99% we're not getting him.

I also watched a bunch of Tyreke Evans games on my DVR and his workout with the Kings on youtube. And after watching it, i realized that this guy has talent and POTENTIAL. He can shoot lights out and he has great ball-handling skills too. This guy screams POTENTIAL and still young, he's just gonna get better and it's scary because he can already shoot consistently. I think he is comparable to James Harden, based on talents alone they're not far away and both have smooth game, not explosive at all. Although, Harden is a little better all around and Evans' game is still raw in other areas, he will learn the other aspects of the game when he turns pro, no doubt about it, he's just gonna get better IMO. So yeah, this time, i'd definitely consider him with the 11th pick.

^I'd say the biggest difference between Harden and Evans isn't their skills but the way that they play(doubt either is close to available at the 11th pick).

Harden is a pure triple threat guy, who catches, establishes a pivot and uses jab steps and an excellent first step to beat his man. Harden's game translates perfectly to isos on the wing or the high post - things that have become staples within plays in the NBA.

Evans is a guy who operates with the ball in his hands using dribbling moves to free himself. He plays like a PG in the halfcourt, dribbling instead of using footwork. IMO that will give him more trouble in terms of help defense in 5 on 5 settings.
