Arizona (29-41) @ Seattle (35-34)

Post#1 » by slaterbug » Sat Jun 20, 2009 2:36 am

Friday June 19th: J Washburn (3-5, 3.30) vs J Garland (4-7, 5.45)
Saturday June 20th: J. Vargas (2-2, 3.56) vs B. Buckner (2-3, 7.36)
Sunday 21st June: F. Hernández (7-3, 2.77) vs D. Davis (3-8, 3.72)

We should take at least two games but a sweep would be really nice!

Oh God...that play with Endy/Yuni in the 5th was ugly. Chavez looks like he probably destroyed his knee/shin. Can't blame Yuni though...both players ran hard to try and make a catch, and Endy tried to call him off too late. Which I don't really blame Endy for...I don't think he knew if he'd have a chance at the ball until the last second either.

Time to call up Saunders. And DFA Sweeney too so Carp can get some hacks out there...

I doubt it...given the way that looked and that they had to bring the cart out for him.

Endy's down, Bedard's down...holding off on trading well before the deadline looks like it might bite the M's in the ass.

Damn, Griff was all over that pitch. I realize he's swinging a cool .220, but whenever he swings and watches his shot go over the fence I'm so glad we signed him. Just for the walk. Just for the walk.

Glad we won that. I was getting a bit irritated that we were getting shut down by John "Five and Half ERA" Garland, but all's well that ends well. Hell of an 8th inning more than made up for it.

Vargas needs to hold serve at home tomorrow and then let Felix do his thing Sunday, and BAM! Over .500.

Well, I stopped watching the game at the wrong time. Or the right time, depending how you want to look at it. Nice win.

Sounds like Chavez may be done for the year with torn ligaments. Gah...that sucks. Who plays left now?

Just set up a thread regarding that.

Junior/Balentien will fill the void I think.

From a managing standpoint what is the logic to pitch to Griffey? You would still need two base hits to go ahead if you put him on 1st and arguably he was the only guy in the dugout with the ability to hit it out. As a Mariner fan their stupidity is our gain.

What an exciting finish to a garbage of a game. I almost stopped watching, but I'm glad I didnt. That Griffey homer was just beautiful. And hot damn is Branyan a stud. Oh, and I <3 the D.A.

Sucks about Chavez though. That collision was....ugly.

Why is Sweeney still on this team? Jesus H Christ he's horrible. M's have without a doubt one of the worst benches in history.

Bases loaded, 0 outs, bottom of the 7th, Beltre is up and the game is tied 2-2.
