Blew out her knee. Minnesota is cursed and has the worst conditioning staff ever. I was looking forward to the Lynx this season too.

Will this have some sort of Final Destination effect and skip Kevin Love?

That's ridiculous. Seems like Minnesota just gets the collective beatdown over and over. I think being in the center of North America, we collect the negativity from the rest of the continent. It all just kind of gravitates into Minnesota. And expresses itself in the form of knee injuries for some reason...

and I have to say, I don't watch much women's b-ball since I don't have cable, but I'm pretty much into basketball of all forms, men, women, youth, and I secretly admire the WNBA in that the lack of immense popularity has some positives such as few players if any have the clout to play the "I only want to play in New York" type of nonsense you get in the men's pros and all the contract stuff is mostly a non-issue. They just go out and play their game, its refreshing. I hope the WNBA survives because basketball is a great women's sport and I hope Seimone comes back because she gives the Timberwolves a blueprint on what they need for their own team ;)

I really like women playing basketball but somehow I can't stand watching them shoot. it always looks like they put too much power into a jump shot. IMO jump shots should look silky smoove and not like you're preparing for an armwrestle-match.

This thread would have a ton to potential if you removed "luck" from the title.

HA!!!

Was this Simone's 2nd year with us? he was a rookie last year, right? Or is this her 3rd year?

If it's her 2nd year we should probably just break Love's knee now and get it over with. We're all cursed.

Perhaps the knee was a negative side effect from the sex change operation.
