Free Mewelde Moore!

Post#1 » by Worm Guts » Thu Sep 20, 2007 12:34 pm

On Sunday Melwede Moore had 6 rushes for 50 yards and 4 catches for 36 yards. I think he's obviously the 3rd most dynamic player on offense, yet he never touches the ball unless someone gets hurt. Keeping him off punt returns is criminal.
Why won't Childress play Moore more?

It seems Moore is always able to pick up big yards on third and long. Why not give him the opportunity to do it on first and ten? I agree, he should be more integrated into the offensive scheme. But as Childress has shown, he doesn't want the system to fit the players, he wants the players to fit into his system.

I've always liked Mewelde, you're right about him being the 3rd best playmaker on the offense. The funny thing is that he seems like the perfect back for a Philly-style offense, although Chilly hasn't shown to be as pass happy as Reid. Still, MeMo does good things every time he touches the ball, and the offense needs playmakers. The only curious thing is that it's been two coaching staffs that haven't seemed to give him the playing time he should get.
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''

Ever heard of that three back system. What would happen if the Vikes had a real genius O Coordinator who used his players well. I know they haven't played him before because he won't play through injuries and actually gets hurt too often, but come on. You don't do things because it's sending a message yadda yadda yadda. You are 1-2 likely to go 1-3 and you have no leash to not be giving your team every chance to win.
"Dude, all I am saying is we already have a starting RB, his name is Chester Taylor. Besides AP isn't that good anyways. I hope we draft McFadden." --Me after he broke the record.
