The wildcard in all this are the Minnesota Timberwolves, who could throw a wrench in things by trading up to #2 to take Ricky Rubio. I'd rather the Wolves take DeRozen, Evans, Jennings, Curry or Harden. Jefferson needs a scorer to take the load off him, especially since he has a 6'8" unathletic white guy as his front court mate instead of having Mayo on the wing or even Brook Lopez....I hate McHale for ruining that awesome dou of Mayo/Jefferson.

Rubio is over hyped in my book. The only thing he really has going is that he measured almost 6'6" when he worked out for Sacramento.

McHale did screw that up!! If they're staying with the #6 they need to with either Flynn or Curry IMO. Foye isn't the answer, and would be better served coming off the bench. A lineup of either Flynn/Curry, Miller,Gomes,Big Al, Love is a pretty good lineup. Defense is never going to be this teams fore so go with the best offense lineup.

I don't think Mayo is that special a player, he isn't a PG he is a 6'4" SG, it looks like he might be a good one but it looks like this draft is loaded with guards who can shoot and many of them may be able to run the point. I also don't think he is that much of an upgrade on Foye, who may not be the shooter but is a much more complete player. There is no one in this draft with Love's size and ability. He may not be a perfect compliment to Jefferson but he is a much more rare package and much better use of a lottery pick.

Between concerns with culture clashes, how Euro play will translate to the NBA, how success at the PG position can be unpredictable as is, and then you add the buyout concerns to the mix...

I really don't see why anybody here should be clamoring to trade Rondo in order to draft Rubio.

because some feel as though Ricky has that innate superstar quality to him that a GM can build a team around. I don't, I just like alliteration which makes the Rajon Rondo VS Ricky Rubio debate so tough for me, in the end Rubio's potential to get a Zac Efron style haircut comes close to giving him the edge, but dammit, Rondo does like inline skating... decisions, decisions

Rubio lacks NBA quickness. I'd rather go with a cheaper average PG and plow the money in somewhere else.We don't need a top 10 pick on a PG. Someone in the bottom part of the draft could do fine... Like Jonny Flynn.

You NEVER NEVER NEVER draft high lottery pick by position. NEVER!

The only better pick for Mahale is Lopaz, but he is also a much riskier pick.
