MLS have 2 week break during Gold Cup (don't forget that TFC are going to lose couple of their Canadian players as well). But the problem is that if Canada, USA or Honduras make it to quarter-finals, then we will lose our players for couple of games.

MLS should follow FIFA international calendar so that teams don't lose their players due to international call ups.

Gerba has officially joined the team. He can not play until after July 15th.

Another impressive win.

This team is going to have to grow a lot though if they want to make both the playoffs and deep into the Champions League

I don't know what to read into games like that. New York is really bad but I am happy with the win. Vitti with his 1st goal!

2nd place! 3rd most wins in the league behind Houston and Chivas.

We are terrible on the road. I think that is back-to-back 3-0 losses.

Horrible game the other day.

This team is so up and down, they need to find a way to be more consistent.

Such a long break between games, feels odd for TFC not to play this weekend.

It's exciting that TFC are part of this. I don't think the Islanders will be pushovers and the Reds will need to bring their A game.

By the way, a couple of friends and I recently launched a new website dedicated to Canadian Soccer, Rednation Online (TFC, Impact, Whitecaps, Canadian National Team) - http://www.rednationonline.ca. I hope the plug is not too intrusive and you guys like it. Please spread the word.

The loss to Real Salt Lake was disappointing. Let's hope the boys can deliver a better performance against San Jose.

Site looks great but I think the "Red Nation" logo is way too big.

Any word on what channel the Puerto Rico games will be on?

Does Sportsnet or the CBC have the rights from this point on?

De Rosario to miss All-Star game

Toronto FC announced Monday that midfielder Dwayne De Rosario has been selected to this year's MLS All-Star First XI. Due to the fact Toronto FC will be playing the Puerto Rico Islanders in the first leg of the CONCACAF Champions League Qualification, De Rosario will not be available to participate in this year's festivities. In his place the league has announced that Chicago Fire midfielder Cuauhtemoc Blanco will take his place as the next highest vote getter.

De Rosario, 31, is the only two-time MLS Cup MVP and was named to the First XI for the fourth consecutive season. The midfielder has recorded two game-winning goals in previous all-star games including a rocket of a shot from more than 20 yards out in a 1-0 victory over Chelsea in 2006. He also scored a thunderous penalty kick that was the difference in the MLS All-Stars' 3-2 win against West Ham in 2008 in Toronto.
