Grizz workout tomorrow mornin (6/09/09) will include Antonio Anderson (Memphis), Jack McClinton (Miami), Jermaine Taylor (UCF), and Terrance Roderick (UAB). Last workout this week I think. Next week will be the big time prospects-- all working out against chairs and brooms. wooohooo.

This Anderson guy, is a good player? Never heard about him, but I heard that he wants so hard to stay in Memphis...maybe could work

He's an above average defender with a below average (NBA) offensive skill set. If the front office was inclined to buy a mid to late 2nd rounder to pick him up I wouldn't be against it. He'd be Dahntay 2.0.

Is Anderson even projected to be drafted? The Grizzlies would probably be better served to sign him as a free agent...

He's projected anywhere from mid/late 2nd to UFA.

From what Verno stated today. Jack McClinton was the player on top in today's workout. Known for his scoring prowess and hustle. If placed on the right team, he may prove to be effective. I won't be surprised if he's not picked. Sounds like overseas or NBDL material.

The Knicks are reportedly interested in McClinton with a late first round pick lol.
Guess D'Antoni sees him as his new Eddie House.

On Skita, he lacked the experience of bball back when he was drafted by the Nuggets in 2002. Why and how he was drafted that high was beyond me at the time. Considering he was a bust and a project that never develop. Now three yrs later after his NBA exit he returns begging for another chance. The questions I have is how much of an improvement he has done to his game and if any will he be any good to any NBA team?

The word on Skita today was "disinterested".

Jordan Hill
On his improvement and upside…
“I think there’s a lot more. The NBA is a whole new level. The NBA staffs know more about the game. They wouldn’t be here if they didn’t. I know they can help me bring out more potential in me and help me become one of the better players on the court.”
Chris Wallace on Hill
“Jordan Hill made tremendous progress during his time at Arizona. I was just talking to Coach (Josh) Pastner. They recruited him at Arizona when he was there, and he had virtually no Division I attention. He’s played three years at Tucson. He can block shots and rebound. He’s mobile. As you saw in the shooting drill, he’s got more of an outside stroke than you would see watching Arizona play. He’s a real up-and-comer and is just getting better and better. He’s probably the consensus No. 2 power forward in the draft behind Blake Griffin.”
“He’s not an extremely physical player. He gets by more on his finesse and athleticism, but he can hold up. He’s going to get stronger and put on more weight as he gets into an NBA weight training program.”
On his motor and energy…
“He’s got a good motor and energy. The Pac-10 is always a very talented league with a number of pro prospects, and he was one of the top players in that league, which means a lot. That’s what O.J. Mayo, Kevin Love and Russell Westbrook, players from last year, were"
DeMar DeRozan
On what you can learn in these (individual) workouts…
“It’s all mental. You get tired, especially going by yourself for an hour. You learn how to push yourself mentally."
On Monday, Draft Workouts will include Texas guard A.J. Abrams, Missouri forward DeMarre Carroll, North Carolina guard/forward Danny Green, Tennessee-Martin guard Lester Hudson, Marquette guard Jerel McNeal and Louisiana State guard Marcus Thornton. Grizzlies Draft Workouts will most likely conclude on Tuesday.

Today’s pre-draft workout at the Grizzlies’ Coventry Health Care Practice Facility featured a trio of potential second rounders. Xavier’s Derrick Brown highlighted the group which also included Tyrell Biggs from Pittsburgh and Lawrence Hill from Stanford.

Re: Grizzlies Draft Workouts
Wednesday marks the end of pre-draft workout season for the Grizzlies as they are scheduled to welcome in Kentucky junior guard Jodie Meeks, and Gonzaga senior guard Jeremy Pargo.
DT here's the article on Jordan Hill.

On Danny Green, couldn't find their latest draft article. However according to Chris Herrington from Beyond the Arc. Green's workout wasn't that great, but it wasn't as bad as James Harden from last week. I like Green's game myself and feel he'll be a good contributor in the league.
Here's some media links to the latest workouts to help.
