4. Rubio - I'm not going to give any other options since this is an ideal scenario.
23. Williams - Not likely, but then again, this is ideal.
31. Jermaine Taylor - I think this could be a huge steal. This guy is a total Petrie pick and he's got great talent.
I'd like to get frontline depth, but there just isn't the necessary talent available for it. So I would look to likely pull a trade for a big man. First what I would do is clear just a little bit more salary. I would do something like Kenny to the Knicks for Jared Jeffries and a future lotto protected 1st (Knicks clear '10 cap space).
That would allow us the space to absorb the necessary money for a Washington deal like Beno and Noc to Washington for Thomas, James, Songaila, Stevenson and Pecherov. This would help to clear future cap space and fill out our roster. Washington would get under the tax, thus saving them around $13million this year. It will cost them more in the long run, but it also fills out their roster with more solid role players IMO. If they really preferred, Jeffries could be swapped in for Noc in this deal to save them more money in the long term, but they would need to keep Pecherov now. If that change were to be made, I believe it would only cost them a little bit more over the length of the deals. And actually, looking at this, the two trades could theoretically be combined, and we could send the Knicks pick to Washington to make it more fair.
For the record, the Wizards would look like this.
Arenas\Udrih
Young\Crittenton
Butler\Nocioni\MgGuire
Jamison\Blatche
Haywood\MgGee
And still with the #5 pick. If it's Harden or Evans--they're competing with Young for the starting SG spot. If it's Thabeet or Hill, they're getting extra frontline depth. And on top of this, they get an extra future pick.
The Kings would look like this
Rubio\James
Martin\Stevenson\Taylor
Williams\Garcia\Greene\Jeffries
Thompson\Songaila\Diogu
Hawes\Thomas\Pecherov
Only the starting 5, Cisco, Donte, and hopefully Taylor would be committed in 2011.
This could be adjusted if the deal were changed a little however--as I could see the Wizards wanting to possibly take out Noc and Thomas and do the rest of the deal as planned.

i would like to see...
flynn at 4...even if rubio is there. I think flynn will have a better career in the long run for sure
Casspi at 23
Anyone decent at 31
id also like to see us make some kind of trade

Flynn would be a horrible pick if rubio was there. Personally, I would take rubio/evans/holiday/harden and then consider flynn, but i think that would way to early.

It's starting to sound like Rubio could be there when we pick. We'll see I guess.

I really would not mind the pick of Tyreke Evans. That dude is a beast and has the full package, off the ball and on the ball. He is a tough player and we need a player of his intensity and playing level.

I would also 'ideally' like to trade for another pick in the late lottery. With Evans at 4 and Earl Clark in the late lottery, that is a great group moving forward.

How do you 'PROPOSE' we do that. I don't think we have the assets to do that really.

I think the only way we MIGHT be able to get Clark is to trade #23+#31 for Minnesota's 18th pick...that is, if Clark lasts to 18, which I don't think he will.

I think if a deal like that were to go down it would more likely be something closer to
4 - Evans
31 - BPA
for
6 - Holiday
18 - Clark/Mullins

Re: What's your 'IDEAL' DRAFT scenario
Why would the T-Wolves do that when they could just wait and see if Evans drops to 6? If Rubio drops to 4, then we take him, and I doubt the Wizards would take Evans (although if Harden is gone, maybe they would?). I could something more like....
4 + 23
for
6 + 18
4 + 23
for
6 + 18

My Ideal scenario:
#4 - Rubio/ Evans or Flynn (Complete trust in Petrie's Decision)
#23 - Omri Casspi/ Sam Young
#31 - Victor Claver/ Toney Douglas
So in my dream draft the kings go European...given our success with europeans in the past and all three of these players being somewhat darkhorses i liken these to be petrie's choices on draft night.
