Bucks just got really bad

This will be good for the Bobcats making the playoffs. The Bucks just traded Dickey Jefferson for salary cap room in a year. /discuss

hopefully the pistons keep going in reverse as well

Odd deal for the Spurs... two of their better defenders out so they can get another miscellaneous scorer? Are they moving Ginobili?

Probably just insurance in case Manu goes down with another injury. Bowen is aging exponentially and I expect Finley is not getting any younger either.

Spurs made out like bandits considering Dicky is a 20ppg player.

The Spurs made out, but they bailed Hammond out of a real mess. As it stood the Bucks were on the verge of losing Sessions AND CV because they didn't have room under the luxury tax to pay either the qualifying offer.

Bucks fans are rejoicing.

So the bucks essentially traded away Yi for expirings? Almost as wasteful of what we did with Morrison.

Spurs just got better with RJ. Bucks freeing up money since all 3 are expiring after this season. But the Spurs needed to add something to compete in the West, and this was a good move for them I think.

If they cut these guys as has been mentioned it means that in less than 2 years they turned the 6th pick in the draft into nothing. We at least took a bit longer and got Radman out of the deal, who has some vague value.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Yi develop into something in a year or two a la Bargnani, he is still young, 7 feet tall and athletic.

Dumping Yi was one GM cleaning up anothers mess. Yi didn't want to be in Milwaukee and Simmons' contract was terrible. This was a salary dump to have room in the future.

The trades helped the team. We are a worse team without Sessions and the trades helped us re-sign Sessions. I don't see what's so bad? RJ was a bad player here last year. He came to camp overweight and only played well by the trade deadline when he thought he was going to be traded. Once the trade deadline passed he was back to average again.

I don't mind this trade for the Bucks. The Spurs did well, whilst the Bucks flip a guy that never wanted to be there for crazy eyes Kurt Thomas and Amir Johnson (they flipped Oberto to the Pistons). They now are a little bigger on the inside instead of letting Bogut do all the heavy lifting.

Stat's and production wise it's not too flash, but RJ was awful last year. Gives the Bucks a decent crack at keeping Sessions and potentially Charlie V.

^ Amir's agent asked Dumars to trade him, so he traded him to Milwaukee for Fabricio Oberto. Oberto's contract is only partially guaranteed so Detroit will save another $1.7 million when they waive Oberto before July 1st. Milwaukee gets a 22yo PF who can succeed under a coach like Skiles and gives them leverage on re-signing Villanueva.

The Amir trade definitely changes my outlook on this trade a little. Seems like he could be a really great compliment to Bogut... probably better than Charlie V ever could be.
