Boston/Golden State

Post#1 » by ddb » Tue Jun 23, 2009 2:39 pm

Trade ID #5133648

Ray Allen, Rajon Rondo to Golden State For:

Stephan Jackson, Corey Maggette, Anthony Randolph, Ronny Turiaf

Why Golden State Does it: Nellie ball at it's finest. Their roster would be filled with explosive players.

Rondo, Ellis, R Allen, B. Wright, A Biedrins. Bench: Crawford, Belinelli, Azubuike, Jordan Hill (Draft)
This team becomes one of the most explosive teams in basketball. After the season money frees up and they're able to go after FA's.

Why Boston does this: They get younger and deeper. Ainge would have to sign Kidd and potentially another back up point guard.. But this solves any depth issues we had.

Kidd (FA), S Jackson, P Pierce, K Garnett, Perkins
Bench: Back up PG ,House, Maggette, Randolph, Turiaf. Scal, Walker, Giddens.

I'm not saying I would do this trade. Just curious what you guys think. ?????

I don't understand why Rondo's name is being mentioned in so many trades! I don't see Chicago trying to deal Rose, New Jersey dealing Harris, Orlando dealing Nelson...and Rondo is just as good as those players...we finally get a great young PG and people want to trade him so badly..go figure.
As for the deal..no..we give up Ray and Rondo in a package, then I want QUALITY back..not quantity..

P.S so far the Amare+Barbosa trade was the best one IMO. :)

Warriors are not giving up Randolph. Did you see him play the second half of last year?? He was ridiculous, his potential is thru the roof, no way Warriors trade him now. They'd give up B-Wright, but not AR.

I'm going to offer a Mavs package. may not be that great but a hell of a lot better than SJax and Magette IMO.

Josh Howard, Jason Terry, Antoine Wright

for

Rondo, Allen

Hell we can do a sign and trade with Kidd and replace Terry if you'd prefer.

Why would we want overpaid chuckers on our team? I don`t get it...

trust me. I don't want to trade Rondo and Ray. but since it's officially out there that he's being shopped lets find the best deal.

Actually there are rumors that the Nets are trying to move Harris. Nelson has a good contract and a big inury, Rose is on a rookie deal.

Rondo is being shopped because this is the only time you can shop once you sign him he is yours.

If we are dealing Rondo to GS I want Ellis not Maggette. I do have a soft spot for Stephen Jackson but dude is old his contract is plain stupid.

I think a more realistic deal for Boston and maybe GS would be Ray/Rondo for Crawford/Ellis/BWright. They get a young pass first pg and clean up their books so they can go overpay someone else. Boston gets a young athletic big who seems to be out of favor, a young offensive star in the backcourt and they get Crawford how has his +/-'s but at worst is an expiring deal next offseason.

QFT.

I'd LOVE to have Randolph here. He's going to be a major stud this year.

If GS is trying to unload contracts (they've a glut at the wings) and are drafting a PG or SG, I would consider trading Ray for Ellis and SJax, even with Jax's bloated contract.

Jason Terry>>>Kidd

Anyways, I'd LOVE this trade. I've always wanted to get Capt Jack on this team. he's the James Posey player we need. Corey Maggette would fill in very nicely off the bench and as long as we got a decent PG via FA or trade, I'd love it. I don't like most trade scenarios, but I think this could make us better and much more athletic and fiery. Capt Jack wouldn't be allowed to lose his cool every game b/c he'd have KG and PP on his butt.

I also like replacing maggette with Ellis, but he doesn't seem like the type of PG we need running this team.

And every time I look at a scenario, I think I like it, but then realize how PERFECT OUR TEAM IS NOW AND HOW MUCH CHEMISTRY AND HOW OFTEN WE'VE WON THE PAST TWO YEARS AND REALIZE, WE DON'T NEED TO DO ANYTHING BUT GET 2 BENCH PIECES AND STAY HEALTHY AND WE'LL WIN #18.

I like the trade idea... some things I disagree with though, Jax is not old, he is 31 and he will be 34 in the final season of his contract, that is not old IMO, besides Jax's game isn't about quickness and athleticism so he will age well. I would be all over that trade though and then would take Hill at #7
