Ariza is Plan A (after Odom haha). Besides, I would prefer battier over artest.

One Love wrote:Ariza ia the Number One Option for obvious reasons... I would look at The Matrix before Artest, personnally... If all three are gone which is unlikely, we can always pick up a cheap alternative like Barnes or Hill, depending on what Kobe elects to sign for this summer... Three's are always the easiest and cheapest position to fill in the league... In my opinion, Kobe dictates his supporting cast with his contract... Just for the record, I say he signs for $100 million over 5 years...

One Love... you have to get back "inside" and let us know what's going on in the inner sanctum.

Ariza has made his name in this years playoffs by becoming the perfect role player. Knock down 3pt shooter, slasher than can finish, and a beast on defense. All without being a headcase or disrupting the offense like Ron Artest.

Don't take away anything he's accomplished.

Ariza is a heck of a Small Forward. First, I doubted we traded Mo Evans( who is also a little bit key energy guy for the Lakers ) for Ariza and struggled, had injury last season. I was impressed he really developed this season and found his role. I would keep him for five more years if we can. I think he would stay here because he's from L.A. and come on, we're the champions. He's not like James Posey, who won with Boston and likes transferring to other teams.

Well if Ariza leaves us, I'll definitely miss him and yeah, maybe we could just go for Artest if he'll sign with us.

i think if we order up a respectable amount of money. he will stay. went to high school in LA. went to a local college program. and won the chip with the LAKERs. just dont insult his person by lowballing. but give him sizable/reasonable. and i believe he will take it.

Luxury, this reminds me of a quote I was telling myself a couple of days ago:

Is this where I say, "I just wanna be around some love?"

I love Ron Ron's D. I love the energy he can bring when 100% focused on the game. However I'm only attempting to get him if we keep both Ariza & Odom and can get him in a S&T for Farmar/Morrison/ & 2009 1st.

Why? He is still a risk with his technical fouls and suspensions. He constantly stops the ball from moving by trying to go one on one when he is not a good one on one player. And last but not least he could not handle being a fourth option behind Kobe, Gasol, & Odom no matter how close of friends he is with Odom.

How about S&T Ron for Sasha + Adam Morrison? Do it Mitch..

If the league hated us for stealing Pau, imagine what they would do for getting this deal done. The other teams would boycott the league (especially Boston, Spurs, Blazers (especially) & Cavs).

daddyfivestar wrote:If Ariza takes a crazy offer of 6 or 7 first year and leaves, I think Lamar needs to call his best buddy and say "Come to LA for the Ring"... and I do think Ron will take 5 mil MLE and be a great Ariza replacement if it came down to that. LO (8mil) and Ron (5mil) would be solid, Kobe (18m opt) and Fisher (retires) are the cherry on top. Ammo + 1st given away.

Bynum/DJ = 13.46
Pau/LO/Powell = 25.41
Artest/Luke= 9.84
Kobe/Sasha/Yue = 23.74
Brown/Farmar/(#42Llull) = 4.43

payroll > 77

Artest won't do it, he wants to be paid.

If Ariza goes, what's plan C - stick with Luke? Barnes? Adam Morrison - comeback player of the year?

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOD BUMP MY BRADAH......... And a good call on your end, I just agreed with you but it was your thread and your call..PROPS.
I always had a feeling Ron Ron was going to be in P&G. ALWAYS.
This guy is in love with Kobe with respect and he has always admired Kobe for his dedication and hard work. He is hard to understand and deal with but I think with the respect he has for Kobe and Phil and being surrounded with talent ten times better than what he had in the past he will comeup as an Allstar.
Mark my words................. ARTEST WILL BE IN THE ALLSTAR GAMES THIS YEAR REPPING THE P&G. BANK ON IT, WRITE IT DOWN I DONT GIVE A HOOT.............. HE WILL BE AN ALLSTAR THIS YEAR AND EVEN THE DPOY.............. WATCH.

BUT GOOD CALL BRADAHHH
