Ernie's not stupid and this is the best offer he had on table. I don't even want to know what crap other teams were offering us but I'll say that I like this because it:

At least for now guarantees solid minutes to Blatche and McGee, something our previous coaching failed to do: play the young athletic bigs over the nonathletic undersized veterans.

Means we basically replace the horrible shooting of Mike James. Crittenton and Stevenson by adding a sniper in Mike Miller and a good combo guard in Foye.

With the way our roster looks right now, I think another trade is in the works. So yes, I like the deal.

The guy had one bad year where he lost it a little bit. The rest of the guy's career has been pretty solid. Please at least attempt to know what you're talking about before you come on our board and try to throw a bunch of negative bs in our faces. I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish by doing that anyway.

Unless we are moving Butler and Young in a deal for Amare/Bosh or something, in which case Miller fills a big need.

I think it was CCJ who rated the deal a 4/10 in the main thread, and I think that's about where I am with it, so I voted "No". It's not a harsh "No" though, if that means anything.

Mike Miller in his last year at Memphis

16pts a game
50% shooting
6 reb
4 assists a game

if we get that Mike Miller back..its a good trade

Just like your entire team for the past 5 years.

Sucking is contagious and theirs a lot of it to catch in Minnesota.

Very solid deal. Probably around a 6.5 or 7/10, and that's assuming the #5 pick even pans out.

If Evans falls to five, then its a horrible trade. If clark falls past 14, even worst trade cuz. But if evans gets picked by sacramento, i would take Miller over Harden in a heart beat. EG still hasn't addressed this team number problem for the last 6 years, a dominant offensive low post threat that is also above average defensive rebounder. Love wasn't the answer though. I hoping that Butler and Crittenton can get us an expiring Amare one year rental.
Build your team w/5 shooters using P. Pierce Form deeply bent hips and lower back arch at same time b4 rising into shot. Elbow never pointing to the ground! Good teams have an engine player that shoot volume (2000 full season) at 50 percent.Large Hands

Agreed 100%. Getting a dominant low post threat with above average defense is so easy. What is Ernie doing?

Obviously, Dwight Howard was available for the past 5 years. Don't be a dummy, G0A.

Don't be an idiot. Jordan Hill iz the bestplayer ever. Also Earl Clark will be better, even though I don't even know what the guy looks like or what position he plays.

We totally screwed up. I heard Orlando was offering Howard for Etan. We didn't even have to include the #5.

Cmon people. What do you expect for the #5 in a weak draft and junk contracts?

This addresses our serious need for a legit 3 pt threat. We were near worst in the league last year.

I didn't see a 'HELL NO!' option on there, Ji

Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

The best part of this trade is the fact that there is no one in the entire rotation that I REALLY don't want in the game. Except for when DeShawn is being like DeBrick.

I don't understand the logic of "this was the best we could do, what were you expecting?" as a means to defend the trade. It's not like we had a locker room cancer with a bloated contract that we needed to boot out the door at any cost. The pick was a quality asset that we could have easily kept if there were no trades out there we liked.

I'm fairly indifferent about the whole thing, so no big arguments from me if you like it; I just think that's a pretty questionable reason why.

Was iffy at first, but now I absolutely love it. Ernie's not done dealing either.
