nbadraft.net has a new even more orgasmic draft up for us:

#6 Hasheem Thabeet
#18 Jrue Holiday
#28 Jonas Jerebko
#45 Danny Green
#47 Dante Cunningham

BEAUTIFUL. I don't know much about Jerebko, but he's about at the same place on DX, here and Chad Ford's...and he's a stash-able Euro.

How are they thinking that Thabeet will fall in our lap?!

its ok I spose. Holiday/Thabeet seems like a tough combo to play at the same time unless Foye blossoms into a 20 ppg scorer next season.

Pure value-wise at those picks, that's amazing. Also a huge defensive boost (especially when you factor in Green). I wouldn't expect really any rookie we get next season to get huge minutes...Timberwolves rookies never seem to get more than about 20 mpg. However, with a regime change, you never know. If we got that kind of VALUE at 6 and 18, that would be orgasmic. I'm not arguing that they'd be a bit tough to pair offensively, but the value is incredible.

Draftexpress:

#6 Evans ... top 4 player until proven otherwise.
#18 Mullins ... purely based on 7' potential - it's assumed he'll be a 3+ year project. I'm okay with it as long as we got Evans here.
#28 Ellington ... don't know much about him.

If we do not end with Rubio or Evans I'll consider the draft a disappointment.

Poster on the knicks board claims Rubio had a poor workout in SAC. They like Evans and Flynn. A SAC official says Rubio is dropping ... sounds like a typical pre-draft slurr.

Give me the Rube at #6 and it will be a great season all wrapped in a bow.

DX update:
#5 Ricky Rubio (GOD YES! Flynn to SAC at 4)
#6 Tyreke Evans
#18 Sam Young
#28 Chase Budinger
#45 Danny Green
#47 AJ Price

I could do without price, but otherwise looks fine

A backcourt of Rubio and Evans wouldn't work, would it?

Pee Dee I go along with that order, That then leaves Timberwolves & Thunder looking at each other after the draft Khan vs Presti.

Harvey Dent -
I wouldn't think so either. Both ball dominant, neither shoot from the outside very well.

They just updated it like half hour ago I think and they still have #5 as Washington's...but I suppose it's not official yet, so they don't want to jump the gun.

If that's how the draft shakes out, though, there probably isn't a better player value or fit wise there anyway. Taking Evans at 6 would allow us to have some bait for Memphis if we want a Rubio/Thabeet draft.

Assuming the draft goes like DX predicts (of course I know it won't, just hypothesizing), then we could probably swing Evans/Blair (who would hypothetically be available at 18, or Hansbrough) for Thabeet. Memphis has Gasol and can't really keep Thabeet and Gasol. We wouldn't have any interest in a player of Gasol's skill set and offering that package (local product Evans and a PF that would fill out their line-up) could be the best option for them moving forward.

Not a fan of Young at #18 (I think it's a reach and he isn't consistent enough from outside if we draft those two at 5 and 6.) Not sure about Buddinger at #28, but ok value though he is really slipping.

Overall think there has to be a few Euro stashes in there, otherwise it is kind of a waste of picks since all will not make the team.
