What to Expect - In a series of Haikus

Pace is on IR
The Rams are Crap. Tampa Bay
Should win in a rout?

Favre: a gun-slinger.
Bolts: mediocre corners.
Will be a shoot-out?

Battle of Winless.
The Jets and Dolphins. Someone
has to win this. Right?

Cards and the Ravens.
Lewis versus James. It feels
Like '02 again.

Indy at Texans.
Andre: Out. Who Plays WR
for Texans again?

Eagles have Brown, and
Curtis. Lions have Charles and
Roy. McNabb: Jealous.

KC and Minny.
LJ's Wheels are falling off.
Chiefs season is done.

Pats against the Bills.
Look for first win elsewhere, Bills.
Soon you'll have 3 "L"'s

Sharply dressed Nolan.
Why can't the other coaches,
wear suits like he does?

Browns: 30th and
Raiders: 29th in Pass
D. Passing Frenzy?

Cincy and Seahawks
'Hawks 23rd in Pass D
How'll Chad celebrate?
(I know... I cheated on this one)

Jaguars and Broncos:
MJD better step up,
From FF Owners.

New Jersey Giants:
Making all Quarterbacks look
Hall of Fame worthy.

Falcons anemic
Offense. Panthers should have a
Field day 'gainst Falcons.

Bunch of interesting early games.

Chargers/Packers
Cardinals/Ravens
Colts/Texans
Lions/Eagles
Niners/Steelers

I'm looking forward to seeing how good some of these teams really are.

san diego needs to prove why they were the best regular season team last year.

eagles wr need to step up, if they cant do anything vs. detriot just let the season go.

colts vs texas i think it can either be a blow out or a close game.

niners vs steelers i think steelers will blow them out.

Cardinals vs. Ravens isn't an interesting game and LOL to anyone who thinks so. It'll probably end in a 3-0 Ravens victory, and Leinart will turn the ball over 21 times.

They don't have Andre Johnson for the game, but the Texans believe and the Colts should take note. It could be either really interesting or over by halftime.

SD/GB and DET/PHI both intrigue me as well. CIN/SEA should be one hell of an afternoon game...possibly another shootout.

I'm shocked ESPN hasn't hired you as an analyst yet.

Yeah look for Houston to come crashing back to earth, especially without Johnson. I know it's early but a few teams like KC, Philly and the Rams are probably done if they lose this weekend, at least the first two.

I think you're selling the Arizona offense short. Their O-line play has really improved and that's really helped James give them a legit rushing attack. Obviously their WR's are stellar. I think they'll be able to move the ball fairly well even against the Ravens tough D, and I don't know how many points Baltimore can put up.

You guys actually believe the Texans are real?

Houston's faced the worst team in the AFC, along with a mediocre team in the much inferior NFC. Nothing to get excited about at all.

And here are two interesting stats that should probable convince you what type of game the Texans will have:

Dwight Freeney, in 10 career games against the Texans:
24 Tackles, 7 Sacks, 2 Passes Defended

Robert Mathis, in 8 career games against the Texans:
28 Tackles, 7 Sacks

Freeney and Mathis are going to cause havoc in the Texans' backfield.

I'm calling fluke.

I know David Carr had as much to do with the sacks as the O-Line did, but that's still a mediocre O-Line IMO, and from what I've seen, it doesn't even matter if Matt Schaub is releasing the ball quicker because Freeney and Mathis seem to get past the tackles with such ease.

I am going agaisnt my better judgement and saying the Texans pull an upset. I like to root for the underdog, watching bad teams turn good warms my heart, and Texan's defense looks good albeit agaisnt a terrible offensive team (Chiefs). They are playing at home, too.

I usually like rooting for the underdog too, but I just don't see it.

Who knows... maybe Texans will pull out an upset.
It'd be a good change seeing someone OTHER than Indy on top of the AFC South.

the browns may be the 32nd ranked defense in the league, but at least they're better than that 33rd team

Lets go Texans!

This game is similar to last years Falcons vs Saints game. Where the Saints came into the season long shots and came into the game undefeated and had a huge crowd and won the divison after that game.

If kc looses at home they are really in trouble.
philly looses to the lions just pack it in.
st.louis vs tampa bay might be the most interesting game. i like tampa bay but the rams offense is going to break out for a 40 point game some time.
