T-Wolves appear to be getting the #5 pick, can we benefit?

They now have #5, 6, 18, and 28. It looks like they want to move up, but don't want to use the 5 AND 6 to do so. I wonder if it's possible to get the 5 or 6 if they can't get a deal they want. Who knows, that'd be awesome, just a though. The T-Wolves will have an exciting draft. They will have an exciting draft night and if they move up they could rebuild pretty quickly. Kinda like what Portland did and got Aldridge and Roy. Too bad this draft isn't GREAT, but I think they'll be alright, and that Portland draft wasn't too great either.

Hopefully it is awesome and exciting for the Pacers too! Hmmm, trade a future 1st for the 5 or 6? I don't know why they would do that right after adding picks, but whatever, I can dream. Then get the 5 or 6 plus 13 and move up and get Rubio! Also buy a pick or something. Gosh, I love draft time.

This thread was kinda started, but I wanted a little discussion if we could somehow do something. I guess it can be merged if the mods think it should be.

Not sure we can. According to David Aldridge (who is actually on the ball so far, guessed the T-Wolves trade and guessed the Spurs trade).... says T-Wolves will move #5 and #6 (assuming they get it, he said this before trade was official) for #2 and select Ricky Rubio. He then predicts Stephen Curry to Jonny Flynn to go #4 to Kings. Thebeet and Curry/Evans to Memphis.

Aldridge also said he predicts Jordan Hill to Golden State.

And he also said Portland is close to getting Kirk Hinrich in a trade. We'll see how close he actually is. lol

I read that they want 2 picks in the lottery and wanted to move the 5 and 18 to move up on ESPN. Don't know who wrote it, but it was as of like 2AM.

I just wonder if they have 3 guys they want, and if 2 gets picked. Then we can get their other pick and get Jordan Hill or something! If the T-Wolves can move #5 and #18 (even 28 if they want) for #2 that'd be big. Get Rubio, and then hope Harden falls to 6. I like that duo, then add in Love and Jefferson.

I don't think the Wolves really want any of what the Pacers would be willing to trade.

Maybe we can benefit through some sort of three-team-trade scenario, but trying to come up with one would make my head hurt so I'm not going to do it. :P

C'mon Larry, there's more than one pick to be had out here!!!!

I was just thinking some off the wall probabilities IMO of events in this draft as far as the Pacers go--

Chance of getting an additional 1st round pick-- 20%
Chance of trading down from #13-- 10%
Chance of getting an additional 2nd round pick-- 50%
Chance of trading up from #13-- 5%
Chance of trading Tinsley in any draft day trade-- 10%
Chance of bringing another current NBA player to the Pacers in a Draft Day trade-- 30%
Chance of this draft being exciting for the Pacers-- 100% ; ^))

They might want to do 18 and 28 for 13 (either to grab a target or if the 5/18 package isn't enough to move up, then hopefully 5/13 is - or maybe they want to keep 5 and could get it done with 6/13). Not sure I want to move quite that far back - obviously the Chicago package of 13 and 26 would be a lot better. Not sure if they would do anything as far as a player trade is concerned - surely nothing that moves us up in the draft or brings back decent value (maybe Ford for Etan Thomas or Brian Cardinal?).
