So what would it take?

I would hate to deal one the picks to the Blazers. They would probably try to use it to move up for Rubio. How about Rudy? I don't think Bayless is worth it.

If you wanted to stir up a bees nest, you could tell Portland it would cost Oden.... That could be fun to watch.

You could talk about Fernandez though and be in the ball park. Portland would likely hate it, but you trade up/draft Rubio and bring in Fernandez, it could be interesting. Is he enough for the pick though? Too much? Not sure how to value him.

Not enough. I really don't see us getting anything from Portland that I'd really want. They value Oden to an extreme, Roy obviously not, no desire/need for Vanilla Gorilla or Aldridge, don't really want their SFs or Blake. That basically leaves Rudy or Bayless, but I don't give a top 6 pick for them.

Rudy is staying in Portland without a doubt...take Outlaw and Portlands 1st round pick

If we move up and grab Rubio, I'd consider trading the other pick if we could get Rudy. I'm assuming that Portland is trying to get Rubio or Curry. Without Rudy as part of the package I don't see a deal getting done.

My hope is still a Rubio/Harden backcourt but would settle for some mixture of Rubio, Harden, Curry and Evans.

I was going to go on about where Portland values its prospects vs where other teams do, but I will simply go with a simple " a deal is not probable" as my statement and "I rest my case" in regards to this as proof.

Dear god no, do not give Portland our picks, theyll definitley use it and get Rubio, we'll be sealing the division for Portland for the next decade.

Portland+ picks= dangerous

There's nothing on Portland's roster that they'd be willing to give up that I'd want for the #5 or #6.

Oden and Roy is about it. Aldridge is nice, but he's another PF. Anything else would have to be multiple pieces and we need to consolidate.

only thing interesting on PHX is Robin Lopez + #14 for #6, but the value is not even close. If we did it however, we could end up with Curry (#5) and use 14 and 18 to get Derozan or Williams.

I would be really stingy with portland. something like Bayless, Rudy Fernandez and Outlaw for Songalia, Smith and #6.

We draft Evans at #5.

Jefferson / Thomas
Love / Jefferson / Gomes
Outlaw / Gomes
Fernandez / Brewer
Evans / Bayless

^ I doubt DeRozan falls to 14 and Williams got a promise from the Bobcats at 12.

*I agree about being stingy with Portland. If a deal with them does not clearly favor the Wolves it should not be made. I would hate for them to get Curry and have him be 10x better than Rudy or Bayless.

yea why would a new GM give a possible future dynasty anything....Plus PDX is not losing Rudy if they want to bring in Rubio for obvious reasons LOL

^ That is a nonissue. I don't see the Wolves trading one of the picks to the Blazers unless the rights to Rubio already belong to the Wolves.

I actually was going to post something last night along these lines so I'll post it now.

Assuming we trade Love for #2 (Rubio)

I think
Rudy, #33, filler (Outlaw maybe, they don't really have a good filler) for #6, Songalia
would be a good trade for us

since many of us are infatuated with guards that can't shoot, any way we could use a bunch of pieces to pick up Rondo...if he's truly on the block?
