Chill guys were probably not gonna trade rondo

Post#1 » by Spin Move » Wed Jun 24, 2009 3:19 am

No close to reliable source has said there have been any high level discussions regarding trading rondo, a couple of people speculated that he might be traded and a low level person floated an idea on what would have been a ripoff for the pistons, thats like us calling the magic and saying hey, if you give us dwight and rashard well give you Ray and Tony allen, thats not trying to trade someone thats seeing if the spirit of chris wallace is possesing them.

95% chance that rondo is a celtic by the start of the season, any deal that doesnt have a point coming back is not legit.

So chill were not shopping rondo, people just have nothing else to write about right now.

It is sort of ridiculous because every team in the league calls about every player in the league. I just think Rondo discussions have gone a little further than usual.

normally i would agree, but i think this is completely different:

1. The talk about Rondo has been VERY NEGATIVE which means they have MAJOR damage controle to do.

2. There are plenty of free agent PG's that we could sign.

There's plenty of free agent big men we could sign too, that doesn't mean that we're going to trade KG. I think it's possible that Rondo could be traded, but I think people are reading too much into this. Tiny bits of uncorroborated information are coming out and fans are filling in the gaps to make sense of it until it snowballs into Rondo being a team cancer who needs to be shipped out ASAP, not that many people (or anyone, even) is being that dramatic. Rondo stays for now.

Yes but big men win you championships not point guards...we win in 2008 with or without Rondo at PG.
